Even if the ref gave them a pen we would still have beaten them 2-1

 says hearts Defender Bouzy. (tu)

HEARTS defender Ismael Bouzid reckons Neil Lennon should stop whingeing about referees and focus on fixing his own team.

Hoops boss Lenny savaged ref Craig Thomson after his side's 2-0 Tynecastle defeat.

But Bouzid is upset that yet another ref row has overshadowed his side's deserved win.

The Algerian said: "They need to learn that this is football - sometimes the referee helps you and sometimes he kills you.

"I don't agree with their complaints in any case. The tackle by Joe Ledley on Ian Black was a bad one and deserved a red card.

"I don't think it was a penalty either. Anyway, even if the ref gave it we were 2-0 up at the time and would have beaten them 2-1.

"It would be better if Celtic concentrated on football rather than complaining. Celtic are a good team - but we deserved to win.

"You need to think about what went wrong in the game and you know what? It's the same for us sometimes. In fact, it's the same for every team."

i only saw a little of the game it was a penalty. but before it hooper should have been sent of for diving.

Not only that but the Samaras tackle has been swept under the ever bulging carpet. No mention of it and not even in the hghlights package.Listening to it at the time and to a man the BBC Sportsound commentators thought it was going to be a straight red card.

I don't entirely agree that it was mate. Like the Davis one against St Mirren, players are constantly being told not to lift their arms towards the ball, but to keep them in a natural position. I feel the Hearts player did just that, like Davis did. I felt Davis was hard done to at the time and still feel the ref was right not to gave the tims that one against Hearts.

the boy lifted his arm and flicked the ball away from the celtc player. id go mental if we never got it. though we have failed to get worse.

It really does depend which angle you view it from. He jumped through the ball and his arm doesn't really appear to leave his side. Either way they lost the game through being second best, as pre usual though they can't handle that being the case.

Well said Bouzid,

regarding the penalty, it was one of those that are sometimes given sometimes not, not sure what angle the ref saw the incident from so from his perspective it might have looked as if the Hearts player hadn't even touched the ball.

There could have also been an argument for Hearts to be given a free kick as the Celtic player had his boot almost head high when he was trying to go for the ball, he also wasn't in any control of the ball when he was trying to kick it.

Bouzid talking a lot of sense.

Definite red - all the ESPN commentators and panel agreed (including Burley and Hartson) although Hartson did back track a little at the end of the game saying sometimes get a red sometimes a yellow for that.

Also definitely a penalty.

Still nice to see Lemon and his cronies putting all their efforts into abusing referees than sorting out their own on field problems. Hearts owned them from start to finish. Jeffries called it right on Iquirez (spelling). Kept him defending rather than bombing forward and showed him to be a poor defender.

In summary, Septic are sh*te but can't see it.
