markybear 136 Posted November 13, 2010 Share Posted November 13, 2010 I offered to do 4hrs OT this morn 8-12. Plenty of time to get home, showered and changed before heading to ibrox. I find out at 7.50 this morn that I've to work in carntyne, "that's ok" I think to myself, still loads of time to get home etc. I had 4 jobs to do, turns out everyone of them is a fucking nitemare and I'm running later and later as the morning goes past. I finally get finished at 13.30 "right, belt it up the rd, skip my shower and just get changed and go" I think to myself. I hit the M8 at 13.45 and it's like a fucking carpark!!!! I finally got home at 3.05 and by this time Im disgusted, anniesland cross is also like a carpark, so id Prob get to my seat in the govan front at half time-ish if I had still went. pretty much pointless even trying anymore, the gods are against me today. My only consolation is I've got 5.5hrs OT at double time, actually scrap that, it's not making me any less pissed off at all. Has this ever happened to u? Or anything similar, where it just feels like no matter what u do u ain't gona catch the game and everything is conspiring against u. Traffic lights, traffic jams etc etcI suppose no point sulking too much, at this moment in time we are winning 2-0, so it's not all bad. 3points plz rangers Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It even sends them an email if the van moves out of normal work hrs (mon-fri 8-5). They'd then question it in Monday. Hence having to go home and get my own car 1st. Cumbria_blue 51 Posted November 13, 2010 Share Posted November 13, 2010 A few years ago something similar happened to me, my dad was driving me to the game against Lyon and got back late from work so we set off late, the traffic on the way up was terrible, there was roadworks on the M74 and the M8 was like a car park. Our usual alternative route instead of the M8 was chocca as well. As we arrived late it took us ages to find somewhere to park, and we ended up miles away, and had to run. We made it to the ground just as the game was about to kick off, only to find that all the turnstiles for the Copland upper were broken and no-one could get through! I had to browse on fekin onlinescore to check the game. Is there any thread I can check on to find out any streams in future? Sometimes I am lucky to get in on TV sometimes not. I miss Ibrox atmoshpere and the roar different class as current Slovan Bratislava matches. And I miss Scotland/Britain too and all my pals there ... I am glad my lass understands this passion P2P are sometimes ok but don't always show the game, if you go into the official thread for that game there will usually be a good link floating around, iraq goals used to be the best one but that has vanished Only game I can say iv'e ever been really late for was the kaunas game and that was my own doing, me and my mate were sitting about bored about half an hour 45 mins before kick off we decided to go, thinking it wouldn't be to busy bla bla well miss 5 mins, got over to ibrox just as the game was kicking off, went to the ticket office then were told we would have go round to the old cabin outside copland, we thought ok then be another 5 mins and were in, go round and the queue is massive ! and the people behind the desks were no help either, taking about 5 mins per customer, we waited for that long we just made the 2nd half, probably a blessing in disguise missing most of that game right enough !
