justiston 91
Despite all the call offs and late call ups, I'm im impressed/excited with the line up;GordonBardsleyS.CaldwellWilsonCraineyCommonsBannanFletcherAdamMaloneyMackieSeven out the the eleven play in the premier league - 5 are first team regulars. Commons is a great wee winger, Bannan has been very impressive each time I have seen him, good to see Gordon back fit and on form, and Mackie getting a chance in his proper position.Wilson is a rouge one to start, as well as a few of the late call ups. Dissapointed Dorrans isn't able to play, and strange no Steven Fletcher or Iwelumo - considering he is one of the top scorers in the championship
we_are_the_people 2
Glad to see Wilson, Maloney(I'm sorry) and Bannan start.Steven Caldwell and Crainey? Shows how bad our player availability really is.Thankfully we have the world class Darren Fletcher to run riot as per usual!!

Graham 3,279
I have no interest in this game. I'll look at the score, but fuck sake. There's absolutely no reason for this game. Especially when the domestic/European schedule is pretty busy at the moment. Don't even know where it's being played :/

we_are_the_people 2
Are you being sarcastic ? Yes mate, I can't stand him. No idea how he is a regular for both United and Scotland.
Millsyrfc1 13
Yes mate, I can't stand him. No idea how he is a regular for both United and Scotland. At times for united he's alright and can string a couple of passes together but not as good as pundits make out but my god he is fucking abysmal for Scotland, cunt can't even pass in a straight line never mind 10 yards
mmrfc1873 48
Yes mate, I can't stand him. No idea how he is a regular for both United and Scotland.Thank fuck .I'm the same, have no clue why he's in the starting 11 for both teams.
Graham 3,279
His job at United is to get the ball and give it to better/more creative players. The players around him aren't exactly world beaters, so he has no one better to pass it to.
we_are_the_people 2
At times for united he's alright and can string a couple of passes together but not as good as pundits make out but my god he is fucking abysmal for Scotland, cunt can't even pass in a straight line never mind 10 yardsHe looks decent at times for United as he runs about whilst people like Scholes carry him. I just don't think he has anything to his game that makes him a good footballer. There is still United fans who actually believe they would have beat Barcelona in the CL final two years back if he was playing. Thank fuck .I'm the same, have no clue why he's in the starting 11 for both teams.I would say he is not even good enough for the United squad, I would not even start him for a Everton/Tottenham/Man Shitty or Villa midfield tbf. Scott-RFC 308
He is a cracking player for Man Utd, but for Scotland he doesnt do it for me. He hasnt found a role which suits him in the national team yet, but I also dont think he plays for his country with anywhere near as much passion as for Man Utd. InnerwickBlue 16
I think this friendly is quite a good chance to see what the younger players are all about. I'll definitely be watching.

sdunsmb 43
Fletcher is outstanding for Man Utd, probably one of their top 3-4 players in recent years if you ask any fan. His role for Scotland just doesn't suit him though, although I'd never drop him. A better idea IMO would be giving someone like Adam the creative role in midfield and letting Flecther mop up like he does for Man Utd.

bluenose_72 198
I'm just thankful none of our players are in the squad for this game.Looking forward to seeing how Bannan does. Would have preferred it if Bell and Goodwillie started though.

skinnymate1690 566
According to the sun its a 4-5-1. , against them that is shocking even with a weakend team . However looking forward to see how wilson and bannan play and hopefully goodwillie gets on at some point
G.Linton 107
Looking forward to the game and a think Scotland will win but at odds of 17/2 for the draw and 25/1 for faroe islands on the back of there draw against Northern Ireland and the team were playing (even tho I'm happy an optimistaic about it) these odds seem to be to big not to have a bet
we_are_the_people 2
He can pass, run all day, make tackles and can get forward and score a goal too, could play for any team in the premiershipHave you seen his passing for Scotland? He gives away possession constantly, Scholes, Giggs, Valenica, Carrick are the players who make the passes for United not Fletcher. He has a poor assit record in well over 200 games for Man United which proves his passing is not up to scratch. Why are people obsessed with players that can run about? This season has proved that when Scholes and Giggs do not play United are average in the midfield. Their fans have been calling for a creative midfielder for two-three seasons now.You make it sound like he scores goals consistently Fletcher is outstanding for Man Utd, probably one of their top 3-4 players in recent years if you ask any fan. The United fans I have spoke think he is nothing better than a squad player. You must be listening too much to the deluded glory hunters who say he would have stopped Xavi/Iniesta in the CL Final 2008.
