Scots referee chief Hugh Dallas to be quizzed by police Hate Crimes Unit over Pope email

Nov 18 2010 Exclusive

CONTROVERSIAL referees chief Hugh Dallas will be quizzed by hate crimes cops over his notorious email about the Pope.

The special unit of Strathclyde Police are to launch an investigation after getting complaints yesterday.

Dallas was hauled before SFA bosses a week ago to answer allegations he had forwarded an offensive email about the Catholic leader.

The SFA planned to deal with the matter internally.

But yesterday the police Hate Crimes Unit received three separate emails demanding act ion, whi le another individual called in person at the Glasgow-based force to make a complaint.

Ex-whistler Dallas was accused of passing on the email to pals on the day the Pope visited Scotland.

It referred to the child sex abuse scandal in the Catholic Church, showing a traffic sign from a school crossing.

A silhouette of an adult holding a child's hand was above the word "CAUTION". It then read "The Pope is coming".

Dallas has so far refused to comment.

All part of a concerted campaign "to be offended" by taig filth who are targeting Dallas remorselessly.

Headed by one Joe "The Lunatic" O'Rourke Chief Spokesperson for the Ceotic Supporters Association.

A complete loonball but a bigoted and dangerous loonball who is behind a lot of these "campaigns" to get people removed from the Establishment.

A pish stained bigot from down the Port/Greenock way.

Utter shite. Where would it end with persuing people who forward joke e-mails who almost always offend someone? Are we to believe that people of the tim leaning never forward e-mails that are denegrading of Rangers, Protestants etc? They really are going into melt down this season and still only a point behind. Imagine we started to pull away from them in the league.
