What's Changed ?

What has changed since we lost the Old Firm at New Year ? Why the drop in confidence? We lost Kenny Miller but with Jelavic back hes like a new signing. Also El Hadji Diouf signing and playing well so far. Why has everyone started to drop the confidence we had before we have brought the players in (counting Jela as a new signing as hes been injured) so we should be just as good if not better. We Wil Win The League. I HOPE

There were so many lets all laugh at celtic threads going on, it just want funny seeing just how poor they were back then but instead of lying about in self pity neil lennon managed to get a decent and confident squad assemebled while we just showed up for every game thinking it was enough to win

The old firm fixture was a wake up call, i think a few of us could see it coming as we were heavy favourites but we were so poor on the day and outfought, and then again on sunday the same thing happened even though we are still in the competition, now celtic have a couple new faces and the fans are behind them again and the momentum is in their favour and we only have ourselves to blame. The competeition is heating up, i still think we have the best squad of players but ther is alot still to come

Ye i agree but before the old firm game everyone was really confident we were going to win this league and now not so. Celtic are not as good as we made them out to be on sunday they dominated large parts of the game but we still drew. Shows there not that good.

if forster had stayed on, therefore commons had stayed on, sunday would have been different

yes we may have done better in the second half, but the odds are that they bastards would have been miles better also

like it or not, we are in massive danger for the next old firm game, if they score first that day it could be an embarrassment, we have no fight, no desire, no determination,

turn the tables around, if we were at the piggery 2-1 down and a man short, would we have had the ability, the management skills, and the fight in the team to dominate the game and come back to draw the game and potentially win it

We lost the first goal the first old firm game this season at the piggery we had fight , desire and determination that day.

The fact that walter smith was out-thought by a fucking rookie manager is frankly embarrassing. Smith is to blame for our lack of confidence, sitting back against 10 men is unforgivable.

For our manager of our to be outmanaged by a rookie is embarrassing.

Actually nothings changed and that's the problem.

Familiarity, every manager knows Walters tatics and his mindset, the opposition know our players and what to do to cancel the threat if they can.

The otherside have a new manager with a whole bunch of new faces most unkown in the Scottish game, it's like playing an unkown team.

We may have a settled expierenced squad but familiarity could be or downfall.

Walter...please change things

It's sad to read rangers fans with such a higher opinion of the filth than there own team...

They even have us losing in hypothetical situations....

so after handing our arses to us twice in a row in our own backyard, once with a man less i might add, you still think we should write them off as a joke outfit?

The only reason people have a high opinion of them is because the opinion of our own team has dropped off a fucking cliff, we have dominated 2 games since boxing day, that's a fucking disgrace considering who we are

I know these ridiculous extremes let you pretend to yourself you are spot on but try to react to what i have actually said instead of what you want to read

What's changed is that this Celtic team aren't going away in a hurry. They look like they can win the League. It's that fear, that has knocked a lot of Rangers' fans confidence.

A lot of people thought the league would be reasonably straightforward. That was re-inforced when we won at Celtic Park.

In addition, Celtic's European performances made them look hopeless.

They were a team thrown together and they looked like it, especially before Christmas.

The advantage we had over them, at the beginning of the season, was that we had a settled team, that had been the distance. They were unsettled and unsure of one another. They have now settled and look like a cohesive unit.

We are now looking a bit unsettled, with Ness finding his way in the team, and Jelavic and Djouf new to the team. Our "settled" advantage has evaporated.

I always thought this would be close. Toe to toe. Eyeball to eyeball. A fight to the bitter end.

Too many thought it would be easier. Never under estimate the enemy.

I still think we have the better players, and will get there in the end.

We are playing more and more in our own half(not just sunday) and I expect that to become even more pronounced as the season goes on (going on past history with our manager).

Celtic play in the opposition half and go for goals, which tends to be an easy way to win games. Every one doubts their defence but when the opposition are constantly on the back foot that defence is not tested.

As has been said elsewhere teams get more tired when not in possession and that factor is reflected in our heavy legged play in second half of games. What has really changed is early in the season we were winning starting slowly but looking stronger towards the end of games with late winners. Now we are the team dead on its feet late on in games.

Its not about having a higher opinion its basically just calling it as they see it.

JBJ is correct imo, if Commons had stayed on I think they would have walked it. At this momernt in time they look much better than us.

However all is not lost, our manager has the power to change this which he simply must. If we play like that again we will heavily lose the games at the piggery.

I have a feeling through that Walter is secretly raging and we may see a massive improvement. It has to happen, its not an option.

okay then, in terms of opinions after the game on sunday then yea, you have to have a higher opinion of their team purely because nothing our team showed gives us a reason to have a higher opinion

twice now lennon has came to ibrox and showed less fear than smith, less negativity, basically him and his team wanted it more

thats where the losing in hypothetical situations come from, nothing shown to us would have us winning
