Michael Owen

United probably not going to re-new his contract.

30 years old

30k a week

We are sorely lacking a poacher. Someone like a McCoist or a Boyd who is in the right place at the right time.

IF (and that's a huge fucking if) this alleged take-over were to happen before the summer what do you reckon the chances of snapping him up would be?

All sounds far-fetched but if the new owners were in then the cash would be there and when we win the league :crabflute: we'll have the lure of Champions League football.

Weiss - Diouf - Ness - Naismith

- - - - - Owen - Jelavic - - - - -

Think that would be a pretty tasty forward line.

Owen is finished.

Had too many big injuries.

Would agree that he'd be a risk, and considering our finances at present it's never going to be considered.

Just thought I'd test the water.

Hope he does get a decent run-out somewhere to end his career though.

He said he wouldn't play for another struggling club again after Newcastle. He didn't enjoy it at all.

His hearts in horses now, I'd imagine he'll retire if Utd bin him. He wouldn't go to a mid-table EPL team.

We certainly couldn't afford him.

Owen is a piss poor footballer, i wouldnt spunk 30 grand a week on him.

Shows how much you know about football if your going to say something like that :wanker:

Too injury prone and he'd get beasted by someone like ross tokely on his debut and that'd be it, shame how his career ended up he is a fantastic talent but not reliable enough

What has he done in the last 5 years? their are plenty footballers who werent given the chances owen has been given, and were much better players. Maybe " piss poor " was a bit harsh, but hes not someone id like to see anywere near Rangers.

He's scored plenty for utd when he's been fit, the last minute winner v man city and the hat trick v wolfsburg spring to mind!!

would be too much of a gamble for any side, the ammount of injuries he's had is insane which is a shame for him. would have him at rangers if he would take a pay cut!
