OceanRain 2,845
United probably not going to re-new his contract.30 years old30k a weekWe are sorely lacking a poacher. Someone like a McCoist or a Boyd who is in the right place at the right time.IF (and that's a huge fucking if) this alleged take-over were to happen before the summer what do you reckon the chances of snapping him up would be?All sounds far-fetched but if the new owners were in then the cash would be there and when we win the league we'll have the lure of Champions League football.Weiss - Diouf - Ness - Naismith- - - - - Owen - Jelavic - - - - -Think that would be a pretty tasty forward line. Cappa 24
He'll end up at a mid table club. I would've said Villa before they signed Darren Gay.

OceanRain 2,845
Owen is finished.Had too many big injuries.Would agree that he'd be a risk, and considering our finances at present it's never going to be considered.Just thought I'd test the water.Hope he does get a decent run-out somewhere to end his career though. Irwin Sparkes 97
Far too injury prone for us to even contemplate

wearethemighty 186
He'll go to some club like Newcastle, id rather we didnt start paying 30-odd grand to an injury prone player past his best. I dount he'd only be on £30k
Jimbo. 952
He said he wouldn't play for another struggling club again after Newcastle. He didn't enjoy it at all.His hearts in horses now, I'd imagine he'll retire if Utd bin him. He wouldn't go to a mid-table EPL team.We certainly couldn't afford him. dc1872 2
I'd love to have him at Rangers - He's a "big" name that would give our fans a lift, and I think he could do a job up here too.
supermac 115
The defenders and the pitches up here would bugger his knees up. He'd obviously score and do well for us if he was to stay fit
