DavieMacRFC 852
I really feel sorry for this lad as he played great when called upon the nothing else happened for him although Jamie Ness looks like a better player and young Bartley looked great today he must feel hard done by, looking at the future it looks like we have some cracking young talent at Ibrox but with Bartley no doubt returning to Arsenal at the end of the season are Ness and Hutton to alike to even consider playing together or will they ever get the chance they desreve ahead of Edu and McCulloch !!! boor 3
im hoping with the fixture pile up we'll be forced to give these young lads more game time and that gives them a great opportunity to prove their worth. walter would be daft to over-use players like edu/davis etc rather than give the likes of hutton and ness a game. its not even like they are only good enough to make up numbers, they are quality young players.i think that ness and hutton haven't had enough games yet to show consistancy but if they get a call up during the fixture pile up, i reckon its going to be tough for the likes of edu and mcculloch to keep a 1st 11 place. thats the way it should be though. BlueSuedeSambas 56,320
He didn't look like anything special when he played IMO.In terms of technical ability Ness is streets ahead of him.
Irwin Sparkes 97
Edu must be looking over his shoulder nervouslyIf we can get Bartley back next season, i'd sell Edu for anything over £1.5 million
dukestreetsoup 69
What makes you say 'no doubt bartley returning' ?A young lad who has no grounds for demanding high wages but would struggle to get into the Arsenal team.An ideal signing for us really no? If he struggles for form and doesn't fit in with us then he is welcome to return. However, if he plays very well for the rest of the season he still wouldn't necessarily walk into an Arsenal squad for next season, which would make us prime candidates for a 6 month extension. A clever gamble by walter if you ask me.

So maybe not so cynical of you.Im sure there are many people at clubs like Arsenal whose job it is to look at clubs like ours and see players like shagger and thinking how they can help us in order for us to help them. blueben_d 40
Haven't seen anything from Ness that I didn't see from Hutton so I'm not sure why some folk are so down on him.Its all opinions I guess, I actually was a little more impressed with Hutton, but perhaps Ness is more consistent in training.I do feel Hutton is a little hard done by not to have come back in as he certainly did nothing wrong in the few games he featured in. KojakMF 18
From the games I have seen Hutton play I have not been overly impress, I am not distracting from the fact when he played he did a good enough job, I just felt he seemed uncertain on the ball and such and wasnt showing anything better than the older players on the pitch have shown. While i do rate Hutton as a player, I cant see past Ness in all of the games he played up to the last old firm where he struggled a bit. Hutton played some good football but never really shone like Ness has.
