MarkyMitch 4
(posted this in another thread but was interested in what everyone thought)If they don't give it to McCoist, i'm not sure who they could get!!??Michael Laudrup? Roberto DiMatteo? Derek McInnes (hasn't proved himself yet) Billy Davies? Phil Brown? Not sure if anyone has the credentials expected of a Rangers manager. We need/expect someone to come in and win every game. Experience is needed IMO and we need someone who can coach players and bring in a bargain or two as no money to spend! The Rangers job should be one that many should want but at the moment it could be an impossible and thankless job!!No money to spend and great things expected!!One additional thing to note, the last time Smith announced he was quiting as Gers boss at the end of the season, we won nothing that season!I wish he had waited until the end of the season to announce this and kept it in house! djbroxybear 660
McCoist should not be made Rangers manager, i would rather Ally does what Paul Lambert has done start from bottom prove yourself work your way up to become Rangers manager. I feel he has spent too long with Walter i dont see much change to the set up we have got.

I dont care.

SirWalterSmithLegend 206
What did Lennon have before he took over Celtic than McCoist doesnt now??Lennon has been lucky, hes had millions to spend, a more than decent scouting system, and has shown no fear in attacking teams. Ally will have none of those. He has a hatred of all things Rangers and a will to win Ally doesnt convey.I hate him as much as the next Bear, but hes turning into a manager who simply wants to win every game and his passion is there for the world to see.I can only see one winner as much i hate to say it. I dont want Ally to ruin his legendary status.

Managing Rangers FC would make them so proud.

Managing Rangers FC would make them so proud.I couldn’t give a f*ck.Paul Lambert comes from a “Rangers supporting family” yet signed for them.I would doubt I would be back at Ibrox as long as he was in charge – I am happy to be pathetic if not wanting Lambert as our manager is what makes me pathetic. Del 667
Dont talk shite. We can only ask, i bet most of them would love the challenge. Are you telling me they are all on more than Walter? :sWhat part exactly is shite...Moyes and Coyle have both knocked back Celtic, Martinez did as well to go to Wigan...Holloway is still going to be in the Prem next season, Warnock will be also with QPR and Paul Lambert...come on!I think going by the precedents already set that none of them would "love the challenge" and as i also said i doubt we would be able to afford them either! Wages, compensation all that!

You say hes taken control of games? I wouldnt go shouting about Ally managing against the likes of QOS, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle etc etc, those games were atrocious and somne even went to embarrassing replays contributing to us losing a league title and Uefa Final.Rumours are he has much more of a say in the team this season, and what change have we saw? Nothing. Still shite at set pieces, still show poor opposition respect they dont deserve, still cant and wont support our lone striker, still refuse to kill teams off..........the list goes on and on. He stands on those sidelines, hands crossed, face puzzled, clueless. Hes not for me.I just dont see what Ally is bringing, at all.
