Exactly doc, that is what we will most likely end up with. That team would struggle to finnish 2nd and wouldnt make the CL group stages. If we want better then we will have to splash out, can you see doing that?

Unless we get these quality bosmans signed up, again can you see that? It will be basic, 2nd rate sh*te that we will bring in this summer again.

TBH, i am already quite optimistic for next season.. i think walter has done a good job with the lack of quality side we have at the moment.

I would like to see us sign fletcher though, as i think he'll be out the squad if hargreaves joins man utd.

Koevermans and Boyd upfront is a frightening thought, and thats not a good thing.

If as Van Gaal himself said Koevermans is exactly the same os VOH then we will be pretty slow and predictibale with a severe lack of pace and movement. How is Ferguson meant to play the killer balls that we know he can when we have to cumbersome and slow strikers? We desperately need a striker whos game is about pace and movement so for that reason Healy would become my priority!

Krankjar would not be outwith our budget in the slightest. He cost Portsmouth 3.5 million and after only appearing 17 times this season we could realistically snap him up for anywhere between 2.5-3 million. I mean times are tough but surely we can compete with Hajduk Split FFS?

Just don't think many people consider him more than a squad player. Then again, we've only seen him play for falkirk.

I AGREE with your team being the more likely, BUT I have questions:

Will we buy S Brown - I can see him in England with Mowbray?

Why did we spend 2m on Thomson if we are not going to play him?

I rate Gow and see him at left midfield.

I hope we get another quality m/fielder if not S Brown and another striker and another Centre Back of quality.
