Wayne Rooney no action.

The FA is powerless unless Clattenburg himself decides he didn't take the correct action and he has - inevitably - decided that he did. And of course he would stick to that, because he saw the incident. It's one thing to hold his hands up and say "I didn't see it, I should have sent him off" and another entirely to say "I saw it and I should have sent him off", because that is an admission of either incompetence or favouritism. Either way it wouldn't look good.

the FA are full of shit, if it was the Wigan player on Rooney, he would of got a 5/6 match ban, as for that bellend of a ref Clattenburg,he should get is eye checked for colour blindness, as he can not see anything wrong when a team as red shirts remember Nani's handball goal verse Spurs at old trafford this season

I do think FAs tend to protect their international players ... I mean would Shearer really have got away with kicking lennon in the head if he hadn't been captain of England?

Lennon headbutted Shearer's Umbro though
