  1. 1. Do you think it worked

Too early to say, although there were more positives than negatives IMO.

Some of their link-up play was good, some thing's they tried never came off, but you could see a good bit of understanding. Healy made some very intelligent runs and was always looking to support Jelavic.

He tired and fell out the game. Still not fully match fit by the looks of it, but he's a worker.

Jelavic needs a partner, a blind man can see that and the Healy - Jelavic partnership should continue.

Healy was quiet apart from a shot well saved by the keeper.

Bar Miller of course, the player who has gel'd the best with Jelavic, imo is Fleck. Even though he is not played as an and out striker.

I agree regarding Jela and Fleck, but I think Healy did fine yesterday too.

Although you cant judge after one game, i thought it has potential.

I thought they linked up well, and Healy was buzzing around causing a nuisance of himself. Healy was unluck to score in the first half. Jelavic  his first goal with his left foot, his back heel for Papacs goal and his 2nd goal, just stroking it in.

Didn't quite work out yesterday, but very few partnerships work first time out.

The important thing is that there were good signs that a potent partnership could well develop between them as they play together more often

Given time, they could really work well together.

I watched Jelavic for a bit yesterday, his movement is superb if we had someone who could make the most of it other teams wouldn't stand a chance.

If David Healy is that man then great and if Steven Davis starts playing more like he did yesterday then we will see the best of Jelavic.

I am not one for harping on about ex players but I do think if we still had Mendes we would be unstoppable. Davis Mendes in the middle with Weiss and Naismith or Wylde or Diouf down the wings. That would do me nicely.

First time they had really had a proper run out together.

You have to remember that Healy has not had 70 minutes of football in months.

But Jelavic wants Healy as his strike partner. Jelavic said to him in training last week, 'You and me up front'
