The biggest game of the season

That is how important tomorrow night's game is and not just because it is the next game or against the scum at the shitpit, but because how important it could be for the rest of the season.

If we go there and play like we have done in the past 3 OF games then we will get beat. It is as simple as that. But if we turn up with a positive attitude, positive line up, balance, pace, width... in the team then we are more than capable of putting a few goals past them and progressing to the next round. That is all up to the management team though. Will they be more attacking or try and sit in for most of the match inviting pressure on?

If the bheggars win then they forget all about the Motherwell defeat and we are back to square one again and the Sporting Lisbon and St Johnstone results will count for nothing. But if we win then that is two defeats on the trot for the scum, we get a huge confidence boost, kills of their treble hopes, enhances our hopes of 4 trophies and the attitude of both supporters will change.

I don't care if we win in normal time, extra time or penalties. As long as we are in the next round of the cup is all that matters!

It'll be the biggest game until the League Cup final and then the next one at Ibrox.....and so on.......

It's the biggest game because a win boosts everyone's confidence ahead of the cup final.

Another defeat to them and the more the confidence and belief is drained.

Exactly, and then the Cup final will be the biggest as it will boost the confidence for the League game......and on and on we go.....

From a confidence point of view, it's hard to see us winning the league if we lose to them yet again tommorow night

If us and Celtic had both been on identical form, it would be our most meaningless game of the season imo

I'd certainly accept defeat tommorow night in exchange for winning the final and the league game

I don't think it's any bigger than any other OF game.

I think we are strong enough mentally to come back from losing this game and win the league.

The game at Ibrox in the league will be bigger.

Big game for us. Will show if the talks with players and management has actually worked, if the players have turned the corner, finally learned from their mistakes, keep the positive results going...

A loss, knocked out the cup, and it's back to square one again, with celtc's confidence growing.

It's going to be interesting to see how we react, perform. We will also see what the bheggars are made of after their defeat to Motherwell on Sunday.

it might not be the biggest game but its still vital. can spur on a long undefeated run for us that can include the final and further european progression on top of moving to the top spot when the games in hand eventually get played. a good win could start the latest timplosion and take the pressure off us as they potentially drop more points in march.

attacking from the off and let them know what theyre in for.

I don't think it's close to the biggest game of the season.

The last league game at Ibrox will be the way things are going.

It's the biggest of game of the season, the rest are in the past or future.

In that case Sunday's game against St Johnstone was our biggest game of the season on Saturday night ;)

And it was made even bigger when the bheggars lost!

Every game is a big game, we are in the business end of the season. I do think tomorrow nights game is pretty big for a number of reasons!

I don't dsagree.

OK, I'll rephrase. The last Old Firm game at Ibrox will probably be the most vital in terms of winning the main prize.

Me too, I've got the old horse blinkers on though, in my eyes the spl trophy along with the CL riches it brings is everything, the league/ fa cup are not nothing but not nearly as important.

A win on wed would mean the world but would mean nothing if we lose the league

Positivity from us will be key to 2moro if we want to progress IMO

Psychology has always played a huge part in football and if Walter wants to psyche this mob out he should send out out U-19's (plus one or two of our younger fringe players - and Alexander in goal for good measure) at the San Giro tomorrow night - that's a win-win situation for us.

Psychologically they would be shitting themselves in fear of losing to what is effectively a Rangers reserve side and if they did manage to win it would tell them nothing about the other Rangers games yet to be played.

It would also say that we've got our 'SPL' head on and nothing else matters.

Spin it on its head - if we won - fuxsake - there would be riots in the streets around the San Giro with effigies of the Lurgan Manchild burning all around.

The League Cup is a nothing cup these days anyway and as glad I am that we're in the final with another chance to stick it to them, in truth, these days I care less and less about this trophy.

i very much agree with this.

i dont want us to loose or anything but i dont care if we do.

send out the u19's

if we do loose tomorrow alot of our fixture congestion goes away.

So it's OK to send out the U-19's against the bheggars in the Scottish, but when you suggest it in the Europa League, your having a laugh (I didn't suggest either, others have). Crazy!

See if we get beat tomorrow, I come on here moaning and people tell me to calm down, it is only one game, a game we could afford to lose... they can fcuk right off.
