That is what this Rangers team with the bank constricting us has come to.

Indeed.

No manager could do better than Walter in this position, some of the best in the world would struggle with the situation going on at Rangers at the moment.

I'd love to see who has great tactics when it comes to having barely any money, what, 17 first team players (of which 5 are out injured, leaving youth team to fill in the gaps) and the bank breathing down your every move.

None of us could do it, guaranteed, no matter how much the arm chair managers on here claim otherwise.

I hope this 1 sentence evaluation of the performance from you will hit home to our fans more than the "articles" you normal write. A simple sentence has pretty much shown up our inability to do the "simple things".

I can't really take anymore of this. If it wasn't for my love for Rangers I'd have stopped watching ages ago.

PS - I hope no one counts Dioufs free kick as a real attempt on goal.

Yet some believe tonight was a turning point for us.

I've read that after each of the recent Old Firm matches. I just wish it would actually happen.

But I can't blame people for being optimistic. No point in giving up now. We are not far behind in the league (in front if we can actually win both games in hand). We can win the League Cup (if Walter gets his finger out).

And hey, we're still in Europe too.

Things could be worse. Remember Celtic last year? :)

None of us could direct our team to push up the pitch and get more players attacking?

No chance.

Sure, because an old firm game is the same as an away match to Motherwell.

Previous form means nothing when it comes to these games, history shows that.

That is what this Rangers team under Walter Smith has come to.

It was disgraceful Muff what I still cant work out is why Healy wasn't brought on when we needed a goal obviously Walter Smith rates Bartley up front more than Healy  unless he sneaked him on when I wasn't looking :(

Aye, but, apart from that....

You are absolutely right, of course.

tbh walter hasnt had the easiest of times there, no money, small squad, 7 injuries and before tonights game we were still in all 4 competitions.. as annoyed some of use might be cut him some slack.

tbh im not happy with the performance tonight either and the fact we played 5 at the back was very defensive but we dont have the squad and the players we used 2

Slight over reaction.

We had to play the cards we were dealt.

No Jelavic, Naismith, Wiess or Lafferty.

Yes it hurts when we lose and more so when we lose to Celtic. However, tonight showed what it means to the players and management. The league is the most important thing and we all need to get behind the team instead of singling out players for abuse.

Do you really think Walter WANTS to sit back and play a 4-5-1 defensively against this mob? People can't seriously be saying this.

Of course he'd want to attack and win, asking otherwise is a disgrace, but there are big limitations to this squad.

Sitting back at 2-1 up when Celtic were down to 10 men was a mistake, agreed, but if it had paid off and we had won 2-1 then it'd have been a 'masterstroke' defensive tactic to ensure we got through.
