rangers played celtic in the 1908-09 scottish cup final and drew 2-2 in the first game, and the replay ended 1-1. the speculation among the fans was, that teams were deliberatley drawing cup ties to get gate money from the replays. hundreds of fans spilled on to hampden and made for the pavilion demanding extra-time should be played, they were blocked by about 100 policemen, and that started the biggest riot scottish football had seen,as young fans rushed to the somerville road end of the stadium and set alight the 27 pay-boxes that were there.they also cut up the pitch, and goal-posts.when the police tried to stop them they were pelted by stones and sticks and any other missiles the fans could get hold of.the riot lasted for two-and-a-half hours and 130 people mainly policemen were injured and now the complain about songs being sung, it makes you wonder.

I hope they weren't singing bad songs, that'd make me mad.

your right david nobody bothered about songs until the tims in the media and politicians got involved, because of their hatred of rangers.
