fog
You might have to 'refresh' the display. On my laptop it is on f4 and looks like a rectangle with a line at each side(left and right)
TheNuts
yes you can. make sure you are on the right HDMI port channel on your tv. i.e. if you plug your laptop into HDMI port 3, make sure your TV is on channel HDMI3...kk?
j1mgg
Once connected you should be able to right click on the desktop and choose graphics option and out put to. Never seen an VGA to HDMI cable though and make sure the resolution isn't too high on the laptop or you will end up with a black screen.
