Chef
Sad Walter never got his win today and the forces in black nearly cut him through on the day he says goodbye to the battlefield of a glasgow derby, where his record says it all, his fight aint over and he will finish his weeks here with dignity and integrity. With what has been put at our door this season and with where we are now, still fighting i feel this man has helped us no bounds by coming back on board and possibly saving this club from even worse financial heartache than we have endured, who knows where we would be at if we never had walter here, i hope we get this title won as no one deserves it more than Mr Ranger, the legend that is Sir Walter Smith

Chef
glad you all share the views on walter, i cant believe a positive thread such as this gets passed by, hardly surprising though with some, the ones that cant wait to see the back of him and forget what he has done for us and there are the ones who feel he has done more damage, oh well
markybear
I'm eternally grateful for Walters efforts, commitment to the cause and the stomach to fight on when the bank are cutting off his legs and tying his hands behind his back.I'll never forget what he's done for our great clubTake a bow sir
thebooler
Walter Smith will go down in history as one of the clubs greatest ever servants. If there is a God, then the man who deserves to walk away with another SPL title will do so.If he doesn't, it should make no difference to his standing with our club. He'll still be a Legend. RangersMedia
he does indeed, he will get some send off im sure of it, just wish every bear thought the sameGame against Killie is going to be emotional. I'll probably cry lol. Grew up in the 90's with the Bears winning everything, he's given my whole life so many memories. Remember meeting Walter when I was a wee boy and was just starstruck. He's given more to our club than anyone on here ever will, yet they still criticise him. What can you say or do ? I'd say they'll miss him when he's gone, but I hope Super Ally continues to bring us titles.
EastEnclosureBear
Some of his decisions this season have been bizzare and have confused us all. If it wasn't for him, then god knows where we would have been. This word gets branded far too much nowadays but Walter Smith is a Rangers legend. His last two games, Dundee Utd at home and Kilmarnock away are going to be emotional. I hope we can push on and win the title for him, least he deserves after all he has done for us. Alwaysblue
I dont think anyone else could have done more for the club than him. Managed with dignity and built a seige mentality within the squad. Heres hoping the Tims implode and he gets the title to see him off

Redmond7
Walter will always be a legend for all he has achieved with the club. He has his faults, he can be a stubborn, boring, frustrating manager, but when all is said and done, you can't really question his domestic record. And in reality he is also one of only a handful of managers to take a Scottish side to a European Final.

Why have we not got a Walter emoticon anyway? We've got Souness with a shotgun FFS!
bombaybadboy08
Would be fitting for him to leave how he's spent most of his Rangers days...a winner.Either way he's a Rangers legend.

Guest Andypendek
I will defo cry when he leaves. It's like a part of my life ending. You can look up to people but often discover they have feet of clay; I think Walter is an excellent example for anyone to follow. Calm, measured, dignified as much as anyone in his job could be, successful. Not that I haven't been baffled at times, like leaving Edu on. Ever.Anyway, if he gets past me at the end of the season without a hug and a whispered, semi-homoerotic 'Thank you for everything' I will be sorely disappointed. NessFTW
Happy to see him leave at the end of the season. Has a lot of faults.Regardless I think he has done more than enough for Rangers that I will always hold him in the highest regard.
Greig-1872
we need to give him a proper bluenose send off in the dundee utd game at ibrox on the 10th , not just TBO doing something, the whole stadium , will be emotional at the killie game

We have been dominated in games against these teams, it doesn't hinder them why should it hinder us ?
