Has anyone else wondered who this guy is and why we signed him in such dire financial times for our club? I've seen him named on the subs bench several times so why has he never even made it onto the park for at least a few minutes?

To keep boogie happy and provide a bench warmer I guess, would have loved to see him play at least a couple of times to see how good he actually is though.

The cunt is the footballing Keyser Söze. Don't think he is even real.

Spot on, I haven't got a clue what he looks like.

With our budget being as tight, some of our signings have been truly baffling.

he was signed when we were still in 4 competitions presumably for when the crunch came and we got fatigue/mounting injuries.

Something often overlooked on here is he was a 23 year old released from the third division in French football.

Very strange signing. Signed to keep Bougherra happy doesn't sound all that ridculous anymore.

"keep Bougherra happy"?

Er......in what way does he keep the big chap happy?

Is this a pillow-munching thing, or what? :sherlock:

Tell you what i as watching him in the warm up of the Sellick game on sunday and he has got some skill about him and a good left foot.

I swear to god did anyone see him whack on in the top corner with outside of his boot in the warm up against the Tims on Sunday? All the players congratulated him afterwards.

Pure class!

While I agree he looks ok in warm ups so do the boys that do ball juggling at half times at football grounds. Funnily enough they have never amounted to anything as footballers either.

My son watches him quite a bit in warm ups, and he reckons the same. Can't say I have done so apart from when the bairn points out something that he has done, but he is deffo rating his warm ups highly.

One thing I will put out there is, Walter Smith is not a stupid man and he will have asked Ally to think about the future. It might just be that Walter has allowed Ally to get this lad, on a free, on low wages, in order to nurture him for the 2011/2012 season. Time will tell but I reckon Kerkar will be a player for us next season, rather than a bench warmer.

I agree there has been a reason that we chased him for so long i think he was McCoists 1st signing TBH

At the end of the day, Salim Kerkar hasn't played a single minute of competitive football for us and, for a new signing and someone who we put up a fight to sign after the compensation dispute, I find it incredible.

When we leathered Motherwell on Boxing Day, for example, Walter only made two changes and Kerkar was on the bench. We were cruising, as well, something like four-one up. You don't need to be a fully qualified UEFA A-License coach to realise the simple logic in giving him a run-out.

I also refuse to accept the "but he looks good in training and when warming-up" patter. I don't even think that comment deserves a response, to be honest.

Like someone said earlier in the thread, the suggestion that he was brought in to keep big Madjid happy, now, doesn't seem as mental as it did.

If i could find my threads from back then i stated there and then he wouldn't play a single minute for the 1st team and it s heading that way.
