klbs-RFC Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 'Black Ops' Escalation to star Romero, GellarCall of Duty: Black Ops Escalation will feature an all-star cast when it is released on May 3 on Xbox Live, it has been revealed.In addition to new multiplayer maps Zoo, Convoy, Stockpile and Hotel, the Escalation DLC will include the new Call of the Dead zombie level. Call of the Dead is a tribute to legendary horror director George Romero, best known for his Night of the Living Dead series of zombie films.Romero not only served as the inspiration for the new level, but will also take a starring role as himself, providing his likeness and voice."This is Treyarch's tribute to the legendary George Romero, who truly defined the zombie genre and whose incredible work has been such an inspiration to our team," said Black Ops director Dave Anthony."It was an absolute honour to work with such an amazing and talented cast whose passion and energy brought their characters instantly to life. Fans are going to love this."Romero will be joined by other horror icons including Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nightmare on Elm Street's Robert Englund, The Walking Dead's Michael Rooker and Machete's Danny Trejo.Black Ops Escalation will be available first on Xbox Live from May 3, with PC and PS3 releases following after.
