Would take David Vaughan in a heartbeat. A much better option than McCulloch and Edu.

Charlie Adam has got a lot of the credit for Blackpool this season but Vaughan has been just as good IMO. The only thing that lets him down is his pace. If we were to sign him then no doubt we would try and mould him into a LW and that is something he will never be.

He is on no more than £10,000 a week and picking him up for free would be a great piece of business.

Did he not win the players' player of the year?

Yeah you are right mate, and he beat Charlie Adam to it. Hopefully if true, Charlie will perhaps promote us over the rival clubs who want him (tu)

No offense to Greg Wylde who has done not bad but we need competition for places and a natural left mid rather than putting squre blocks in round holes.Don't know too much about Vaughan but seems like he has talent and works hard for the cause.

Would prefer to be looking slightly higher than Blackpool for players but on a bosman, what harm could it do. Would be a better option than Gomis or Buaben because he's tested himself at a higher level. But we should be looking further around the europe for upcoming players at bargain prices

Vaughan would be a decent addition to the team.

I think the title race potentially going up to the final week of the season and the takeover taking so long means that we must be at least a little behind on scouting. I wish we had a thorough European scouting system to search high and low for the best young talent. I also think the failed 10 in a row season dented our trust in foreign players.

Other teams of a similar level to us in Europe (arguably Ajax, Porto etc) seem to be able to mould great young talent and bag fortunes for them.

Saying all that, I'd still be up for signing this guy. I ain't seen him much but when I have he's been good and on a bosman ye canny argue.

He is a tidy wee player is Vaughan.

Blackpool would have been in a better position now if he hadn't picked up an injury.

No coincidence they are doing far better in the last few weeks since he came back
