ogbg
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11788_6911321,00.htmlRangers star Nikica Jelavic insists he wants to emulate fellow countryman Dado Prso and become a legend at Ibrox.Jelavic has settled in well to life in Glasgow and has scored 16 goals this season following his move from Rapid Vienna. The form of the Croatian international has seen him linked with a move to England, with Aston Villa said to be keeping tabs on him. But, whilst acknowledging the Premier League interest, he insists he wants to continue to prove himself with Rangers."I love it in Glasgow, maybe this is not the prettiest town in the world but I have found my peace here and also a great passion to play football," he told Jutarnji List."Being a Rangers player is such a privilege."The Premier League? There are talks about this, I'm reading about interest from Aston Villa but my main goal is to one day be like Dado Prso."I want to be an icon as he was here." TheNuts
he is well on his way. Love Jelavic, great all round player. Probably the most recent player to grace the SPL with such footballing ability since Larsson.

simon
Glasgow is rotten! Some parts are OK, overall it is shite though.Really hope we can keep him free of injury for next season, give him a good partner and the league will be ours.

ogbg
see ya jelavic, just a shame we couldn't keep youIs that what you read from this story?I'm not sure really. I think he's being honest. But at least if he was to leave this summer we would expect a good fee with 3 years left on his contract.

Our city is absolutely amazing. The Amount of stuff you wont know about that actually exists in Glasgow is absolutely frightening.
sdunsmb
The trouble is, if a team like Villa really wanted him, they could easily have him.The spending power of even mid table EPL clubs is just insane and we all know we're in no position to turn down big offers.Jelavic and Bent would be some partnership.Hopefully he stays and if he does leave, I hope we get a huge fee. But honest to God the place is a dump now and the people are shite. It is brilliant for a night out and that's about it.
Amac9
Doesn't realty matter what he says. The club will force him to leave when there's interestPlayers can't be forced to do anything. If they are still under contract then they have the right to do what they want, no matter what the manager or chairman says.Just look at Bobo Balde's last few years at the bheggars. simon
Thats easy Jela son , haven't you seen what EHD has done to earn such lavish praise from our support ...Exactly! Most players do it with ability, Diouf seems to have acted like a knob and a lot of fans love him. Never Rangers class in his life.
simplythebest
I'm not saying Jelavic isn't being truthful and I certainly hope he is, fantastic player. But in football you can't be sure of people staying these days, Liverpool fans all felt Fernando Torres was 'different' and we all know what happened there. Not to mention our own experiences with the likes of Cuellar, talk can be cheap. One season at a time, and if he is here next seasons we'll need to keep him fit and hopefully find him a good partner! Martin Luther
The turn and shot of the cross bar at the 1 0 defeat at hearts in jan was enough for me to say this guy was a class act and if fit we didnt nedd to worry Miller had just left yeah it would be great to have both but thats life under the current regime.
