nvager 498
Rooney played well vs Celtic and scored quite a few goals in the SPL this season. Would he be a good squad player for us with a big upside rather than Healy/Diouf/Beattie?
Cumbria_blue 51
Im not sure about this one mate. Wasn't his goalscoring record pretty poor in the second half of the season? He's pretty much no better than Healy in all reality. I think we should be looking to sign players that would go straight in to the first team, and even then defence is the first area we should target. Jimfanciesthedude 24,492
the point of signing rooney is that he would be a squad player that, if takes his chance, we could punt for a fortune more than what we pay for himand to that thought rooney is out of contract, surely worth a couple of grand a weekat least he has resale value when healy doesnt
SirWalterSmithLegend 206
I think he lacks composure and im not sure he would have the bottle to sign for us.

martinwrfc 10
Squad player at the best, I'd be happier if we were going for Nick Blackman, he'd maybe be a squad player as well but he's only 21 and has a good goal record for this season, (10 for Motherwell in the league, 2 for Aberdeen, although the latter were amazing this year )
Ribz2009 12
Its impossible to telllafferty has done well in domestic and international stage where as rooney has had one half decent season in the top flight..he only scored one more league goal than higdon, it wasnt exactly jaw droppingand believe it or not the only team in the top 6 he scored against was celtic

markybear 136
I'd take a punt on him.I could see him scoring a barrel load for us. I almost see him as a Scott McDonald type signing. Low fee and great return in goals
