Just read the Daily Record in work about 4 pages into the sports section. His representitives are meeting both us and the taigs to talk over a deal. It is believed its only between us 2 for his signature and that by us offering UCL football we may be in pole position. Rangers would also want any deal tied up asap.

Tbh i wanted him before xmas but his performances have been pretty woeful since the turn of the year. A good player on his day, not for me though

Over-rated, overweight and lazy.

Pre-takeover he was the type of player I would have welcomed to bolster the squad but now we no longer have the same restrictions we should be looking further than the SPL. Jelavic is the prime example of what is out there and affordable.

I actually think he'd be a good signing for us! He'll have a different attitude when playing with us, as soon as mixu left killie he gave up.

On what basis?

Is there maybe a reason he hasn't made it at a bigger club at the age of 28?

Wouldn't be nearly as effective at us I don't think.

Teams press us far more than the likes of Killie so he wouldn't have the time or space to play his passes. Fans would probably get on his back for the lack of work and he'd get frustrated and try to do it all himself. I just don't think that he's the right fit for us, or we're the right fit for him.

I really don't understand how we'd fit him in if we signed him

We're not going to play a CM pairing of Davis and Eremenko. That would just be ridiculous

We aren't going to drop Naismith

So are we going to play an overweight playmaker as a left winger?

Unfortunately, signing Eremenko would probably lead to this:

Davis McCulloch Eremenko Naismith

Who said Eremenko would be a starter? Everyone has been crying out for a creative midfielder and Eremenko is one. If we can get him on the cheap, he gets fitter and loses some weight it could be a great coup.
