England v Scotland -- 1963 at Wembley.

Wee Henderson, and Jimmy Baxter ripping England apart. Now for those of you that just love Burkie... maybe tell him this is how the game should be played. Look athe penalty kick Wille won... Great moves -- and of course Slim Jim makes no mistake with the penalty. 4 gers in that game? Jim B. Willie H. Davie Wilson, Eric Caldow...

Always though Willie Henderson had a bad rap - seemed to be in Jinky's shadow all his career. However to me, as fine a player as Jinky was, Willie was at the very least his equal.

One great thing about that clip - the English commentator is incredibly impartial. None of the silliness we see nowadays with guys refusing to acknowledge fouls etc. Two examples:

English commentator immediately says "Penalty, no doubt it" when Henderson is felled. Now, we'd be getting "well the referee thought that was a penalty and Scotland have a chance to extend their lead. They must be amazed to come to Wembley and lead against England."

Also, the commentator notices that Scotland are pressing the English at every turn and says the Scots are getting most of the rebounds, "as indeed they deserve to". Now we'd be getting, "a sloppy mistake from [insert supposed world-class England player's name] lets Scotland into the game."

I agree CG, the commentator is balanced in his views and honest, unlike the pish we hear now.
