Rangers have had a fifth bid knocked back by Dundee United for David Goodwillie, who is close to a move to Blackburn: http://bit.ly/og2PEh

Why did we make an offer that was less than what Blackburn have made? laugh.gif

It's like we're taking the piss. We either match Blackburn's offer or leave him.

5 bids rejected WTF. Has any other team in the world ever had 5 bids rejected for the one player before?

They'll just keep rejecting these bids till he signs for Blackburn, wasting our time with this, move on.... and bid 200k for Jonny Russell. :D

Wait.

This is the article they link you to :

Rangers have failed in another bid on Monday for David Goodwillie, as the striker waits to seal a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Goodwillie is currently in Lancashire as nears his reported £2.8 million switch to Ewood Park but, with the deal yet to be ratified, the Ibrox club have tried again to make an 11th hour swoop for the 22-year-old.

STV understands United rejected Rangers’ fifth offer of the summer for the player on Monday morning, as it again fell short of the figure Blackburn Rovers have already agreed to pay.

Rovers boss Steve Kean is eager to meet Goodwillie before his transfer to the English Premier League is signed off. But the club only returned from a pre-season trip to Hong Kong on Monday morning and the pair are yet to hold face-to-face talks.

A deal however has been agreed by all parties and only a medical is required before Goodwillie formally becomes a Blackburn Rovers player.

Rangers tabled their first bid for the player on June 29, with an offer in excess of £1 million rejected by Dundee United.

Still saying this morning.

Five bids to a mob like Dundee United and still not met their valuation. Embarrassing.

We've met their valuation. We've just not matched Blackburn's. Utd moved the goalposts.

If we've made another bid, I'm not sure I understand why we did if we don't match Blackburns bid.

United are well within their rights to look for nothing but the same as the bid Blackburn are offering.

If we have matched it and they've simply turned it down because it's us, then that's shite.

That changed the moment Blackburn came in and Rangers know that which is why I can't understand why we would make a bid on something when we know someone has bid higher. Stupidity, imo.
