Closing in on two esthablished international players with another 23 days of the window still to go and some posters are still moaning? Why do people with that much of a negative mindset actually both

I have never read so much pish about football transfers especially from mclhachan. We perhaps start too low that cannot be argued however unless there is a release clause clubs with small budgets will

boogies not lost weight to play for us.

Looks good, I don't think the fee will be any over £4m. On STV it said we tabled £3.5m and said we were close to agreeing.

If we do sign him it proves 2 things.

1) We have money.

2) We don't have a clue how to use it.

Or

1) We have money

2) We will use it on our top targets.

Perhaps we just need to realise that although we were interested in Verhoek - we were only interested in him up to our valuation of him. If we spend 3.5 on Juhasz...this would go a long way to proving that.

Broxi I think this proves Rangers have valuations for each player we are in for!

That may be fair but with £4m we could/could've bought Goodwillie and Cuellar/Verhoek

Don't mean to moan about though, I'm happy were signing Juhasz and looking forward to him fucking Samararse up :D

Maybe your right, but I'm pretty sure we were only a couple 100k of verhoek and we could of gotten goodwillie for almost £1m less than what we eventually bid for him. Don't want to get into an argument though and we'll see what happens the rest of the window, I'm sure we will find other players just as good as the ones we were linked with and go onto retain the title for the 55th time :21:

Reports say our last bid for Verhoek was 1 mill (which was the highest bid at the time ) Now todays reports are that Forest have agreed 2.5 - which is a considerable jump from their last bid of £800,000.

I honestly think we dont rate him as high as that.

Would like to have spent 3.5m on a top winger or striker but maybe we still will? Didn't McCoist say he wanted to bring in a marquee signing that will excite the fans?

Its just a pity that people dont seem to be able to get excited about a CB - make no mistake Juhasz is a top quality player.

I'm glad we're getting in guys that Ally wants, but £3.5m is a HELL of a lot of money to be spending on a 28 year old. He'll be 31/32 when his contract is up. Doesn't look like we'll be getting any sort of resale value or anything.

Ally must really rate him.

The voice of reason.

Cuellar is 30 - 2 mill

Juhasz is 28 - 3.5

if we sold him in 2 years for 2 mill - he would have cost us 750,000 per year.

Nothing wrong with that for a quality defender.

Oh...and hes 13 years younger than Davie Weir.

Hi mate - you seem to know the player. What kind of centre half is he and what qualities would you say he brought?

Cheers

GF

Our defence is pish, from what I've heard about Juhasz hes amazing (tu)

Wouldn't look out of place in a top 4 premiership team and is the best player at Anderlecht.

Currently we're signing Australian player of the year and arguably the best player in Belgium.

We're most negative about ourselves.
