He aint coming.....

AZ Alkmaar have warned Rangers that star striker Danny Koevermans is not for sale.

Gers boss Walter Smith took in AZ's Eredivisie game with Vitesse Arnhem last Sunday, with Koevermans believed to be his target.

The newly-capped Holland international has impressed for AZ since joining the title challengers from Sparta Rotterdam in 2005.

He has formed a potent partnership with former Gers striker Shota Arveladze and has been linked with a summer move.

But AZ insist Koevermans is going nowhere and the club would not welcome any offer from the Old Firm giants.

"Smith was watching the game between AZ and Vitesse, but Danny still has a contract at AZ," club spokesman Erik van Leeuwen told The Scotsman.

"Rangers have not been in touch with us and we are not planning to let him go."

Plenty of times clubs have said players arent leaving and then they have. He could still come.

Did yous read this pish in the letter that came with it ?

"I am committed to backing Walter to ensure the success that Rangers fans rightly expect"

Aye right, I'll believe it when I see it.

"We need to strengthen the squad, but it is vitally important that we continue to operate within our financial means."

AKA: We'll spend f*ck all again.

The quicker he goes, the better.
