G.E.C. 19,594
Both a joy to watch either way but I've went for Silva. Best midfielder in England at the momentMata has looked brilliant though. Had a very good game at the weekend.

4MenHadADream 122
Definitely Silva for me, a complete joy to watch and probably the best player in the EPL. Mata is great too, but has to be Silva

rfcfraserrfc 262
As a Chelsea fan I'm going to say Mata purely because I think he has settled into English football quicker than Silva did and can only get better.

NorthernLights 2,529
Silva. Just. Mata is class, though. The Spanish McCulloch.
Jie RFC 12
Both players careers have been quite the same, both started on the left then found themselves playing a role inside behind the striker at Valencia in a 4-2-3-1 (esque) formation. At Valencia they got recognition, just not nearly as much as they deserved, they have now moved onto bigger and better things and are finally getting it.I personally like Mata more, but Silva has been excellent and everything City do has him involved. WhosTheDado 32
Both are great to watch. They always seem to find space to recieve the ball and they rarely misplace a pass. Silva for me at the moment but Mata isn't far behind.
the goal machine 7,994
Silva.
sdunsmb 43
Silva is probably better at this point in time, but I prefer Mata - love to watch him on the ball. He's a couple of years younger as well so maybe a bit behind Silva in development.
Senna 735
Silva so far but there's no shame for Mata coming second in this one.
Buzz 306
Bedoya.
sdunsmb 43
Brilliant post, fully agree. The main reason I prefer Mata is that he's more direct and can take players on with his extra pace that gives him a slight edge. Two great players, like Villa, who never got the deserved credit due to playing with a so called 'lesser' club.OT: Why do people feel the need to post non-funny names like Bedoya etc, one person doing it is lame enough but 4 or so in 5 posts is pretty pathetic and childish. Was saying to my mate the other when watching the Chelsea match that Mata has all the attributes you associate with the modern Spanish midfielder in terms of touch, vision, poise etc but he also has that electric pace. So not only can he play the beautiful tippy tappy style, he can also just go for the old school 'hit it past the defender and run'.Definitely prefer watching Mata but Silva has been outstanding this season so that's why I went for him. Mata is only 23 so will be great to watch him develop. Two great examples of Spanish talent that can be poached from the smaller Spanish clubs I still can't believe no English team has gone for Martinez. Would have been the perfect signing for Man Utd IMO.

BlueAndWhite 37
I can't believe Liverpool didn't go for Martinez instead of Henderson. The difference in ability is incredible, surely they saw this during the Euro U21s?
Goianegra 4,710
Silva, but both are brilliant. Just goes to show that there is talent outside the UK and these foreign players don't just fall from the sky when a rich club fancies spending some money.
