Selfish, or just relieved?

Now I'm sure most on here will be well aware that I'm no fan of Whittaker, but his celebration yesterday, or lack of, surprised me somewhat.

His cross into the box for Jela's diving header was outstanding. However, the big man produced a cracking diving header to complete his hat trick, yet Whittaker stood there on the touchkline awaiting all the applause of his team mates when he really should have been running to celebrate with the big man.

Was he just being selfish, or was he genuinely relieved to have made such as telling cross into the box after his shaky start to the season?

I thought it was an og? And Jelavic pointed for everyone to congratulate Whitty for the cross that created the goal?

I thought it was an OG as well but the guys around me were adamant that Jela scored it.

I've no seen any replays of it but I did say it was an OG.

If it was an OG, then he woulda been well within his rights to celebrate the way he did.

I don't even know for sure, only going off what I saw from Broomie. Shoulda checked a match report before posting

I just checked the bbc website there and they have it as an OG by Kenneth.

Therefore Whittaker was right to celebrate it as his.

Sorry Steven........................................................................doh

OG or not booler, I've seen lots of players who've just assisted a goal celebrate themselves if they've played an instrumental part in the goal.

Why criticise whittaker if you don't know all the facts. I'm not whittakers biggest fan but I won't criticise him just for the sake of a moan.
