This was a thread about Rangers until you started ranting and raving incoherently.

Now you have been presented with a rational, factual argument you are 'out'

'Outed' more like.

Ho ho ho. Outed? Rational? There is nothing rational about the concept of Monarchy

This was a thread about Rangers? You could have fooled me. Rangers are a football team mate. This thread had nowt to do with football TBH

Most of Scotland is quite patriotic, not to Britain but to Scotland.

The reason this wouldn't work is the opposition to Scotland being part of Britain throughout the country.

We are a british club and where we wish/choose to Show this through a verse or two of her Majesties national anthem then the opinions of other clubs bosses/fans means not a jot!

Ibrox can play 'god save the queen' prior to a match to show respect to the crown and for our own fans. Not for the small pocket of vermin in the corner.

This is a good suggestion and yet another way to break away from the old school party songs.

Penny arcade

4 men had a dream

Barca song

God save the queen

Why would these 4 songs not benefit the club and help generate a superb atmosphere around match days!!

Must have missed that one.

OK - we will get Lulu to sing it then.

Unless you've got any skeletons in her closet.

Her step dad was running for bnp and she came out spoutin her republican shite

Trying to distance herself from him but went ott and got stuck into Britain and the monarchy in the process. Not a fan.

Lulu am no sure, is she no a pape lol

Just had an e-mail back from Ibrox.

Dear Swally,

We think your idea is excellent and something we will look into.

Lets hope those republican apologist handwringers within and without our support start ranting on about racists, non elected vermin and point scoring because that will make it even sweeter.

Well there ye go :crabflute:

I would distance myself from the prick as well - although sounds like she might have gone OTT a bit.

Apart from the fact it would cause a divide in our own fans, not just with the rest of Scotland. GSTQ is also a really boring song. The other 3 songs you mentioned are upbeat and good to sing along to, GSTQ is neither.

Why? Millions of people admire and like the Royal Family. You come across as if only a few people like them.

Admire? What exactly do people admire about them? Prince Andrew for example. He is an international joke? Prince Phillip? He's an utter embarrasment to people who support the idea of Great Britain

They do great things for charity. The princes trust, the revenue they would bring in from tourism and in general, they seem like nice people and the Queen does a fantastic job as head of state.

And yet people line the streets to catch a glimpse of them in whichever country they visit.

Strange, seeing as how embarrassing they are. These people must admire something.
