CANUCKBEAR10 3
Hey Fellas, Just a suggestion, here goes: First of all, I would prefer we kept Jela but if we need to sell him and we were to get 7-8million, do you think we'd be okay if we signed Sandaza and Boyd and say spent 3 million on an attacking CM/play maker? I know things will be different next year with Naisy back and even with a hopefully fit Laff but overall would we be better? It would also put 4mil or so in the banks? GrangemouthRSC 832
Has anybody thought that 'Farid El Alagui' may be worth a point from Falkirk? I think he has now scored 21goals in 25games this season, which is a very decent return and the 1st Division has been know for being a close league. Also, how much can he really cost, any 1st division club would struggle to reject any bid in the region of 100k, well worth a punt in my opinion as a cheap option who might turn out to be a great buy. Thoughts? I think he could possibly be a great bargain for us.Crawley are intrested in him but i think he could do a good job for us.Got many friends who support Falkirk and he is usually their stand out player every week.On a side note in sure in Willie Vass's pics from a Falkirk game over xmas,Gordon Smith was at the game. gersmad11 0
Only reason I suggest the Farid was because my uncle is a season ticket at falkirk and has been goin on about him every game, he scores more often than not. If we really are that skint why not take a punt, not really got much to lose. Any fee mentioned from Crawley?

Ibrox_Nights 378
Whatever happened about the AMC / playmaker we were linked with who was from South Korea, (I think)? He was supposed to be a bit of a set piece and free kick specialist. Can't remember the guys name, did it just fizzle out or turn out to be someone we weren't really interested in? Would have been a good bit of business, he looked a right good player.
Ibrox_Nights 378
Yeah that was him mate, thanks.I didn't realize the fee associated was so high.I'm not for a minute suggesting we should sign anyone simply as a free kick taker, but I so wish we had someone in our squad capable of scoring from a few free kicks. Apart from Jelavic hitting a belter once in a blue moon, our set pieces from dangerous areas leave a lot to be desired. Actually, most barely clear the wall Maybe we were so spoiled in the not too distant past, but we once had half a team able to take direct free kicks and a couple of them were genuinely world class free kick takers.IMO we should look for this as we are scouting an AMC / winger as it would add to our goals tally. Our midfielders scoring rate, even from open play this Season is dire.
