Whyte would not release funds.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Now it's up to Ally to win the League with this squad. Sure we're light up front but the squad he has should be more than capable of beating every team in the League. Celtic are obviously the the toughest nut to crack but we weren't far away in December and we're only short of Jelavic from that team.

We have un-earthed a 24 carat gem in Aluko and Mervan will prove to be another shrewd purchase. Davis is coming back to form, Edu is playing his best football in 18 months and Lafferty traditionally hits peak form at this time of the season.

So instead of the petted lip Ally, time to rise to the occasion and prove YOUR worth as a manager. Time to get this squad motivated and convinced that this title can be theirs. No excuses against any team outwith Septic. We're better in every position against every other team in the League.

Don't be fooled by the Tims. A loan and a PSV reject is there sum total so far this window. They aren't the team most of the deluded think they are and are there to be beaten.

And Craig Whyte..............he could have capitulated to fan pressure and fed his ego with a couple of late additions but he has held firm. Whatever camp you are in, you've got to admire his discipline and balls. Lots of what was in his statement today can be taken with a pinch of salt but you can't argue with the remarks on wanton spending taking us to where we are right now and it having to stop.

Keep believing. We ARE the fucking people

Obviously we need a striker and you would think from an incoming £5m or whatever much of that is up front, a few hundred thousand could be found to find someone. However, you also have to wonder why the fuck we didn't sign a striker in the summer, why we let John Fleck, who could possibly play up front go on loan and why the fuck we even have a youth system when, with the club in dire financial straits, we don't utilise it properly. We cant always go out and spend money anymore, which is fair enough but there are and should be other options.

Oh well, any more Aluko's for free?

Given Ally's fuck ups in the summer transfer window, I'd be reluctant to give him funds.

I actually think he will be axed by Whyte by the end of the season. If CW has written this season off, and wants his own man in for the summer, why would you give Ally any funds?

I agree with you mate.I think the Ortiz,Mckay and Bedoya fiascos prove that either the scouting is wrong, the players were not Ally's choices (hence the reluctance to pick them)or Ally approved these signings and they are duds.I think Whyte has given Ally enough rope and will bring in his own man in the summer.Sad, but likely. One more thing though, I am pissed off with almost every photo from Murray Park showing the Management laughing and joking, especially when the 15 poing gap was disappearing.Maybe an outsider with more discipline would be better in the long run.

How can whyte give him cash we don't have ?

We are in the crap, but blaming Whyte is foolish. He inherited this mess and it seems some are keen to alienate him from the fans.

Murray is to blame and is barely getting a mention.

Allys signings and team failed in europe to diddy teams twice, then out the league cup to Falkirk.

It might be shit for Ally he got the reins when things were bad, but he knew that going in.

I'm not so sure he's the man we need to get the best out of a bunch of players.

He promised mccoist funds and even said on a television interview if he had to front end money he would! He said it didnt depend on european football the guys a fucken chancer.

He promised 5 million a season into the playing staff, McCoist gave him the targets and they were signed, McCoist gave him the players he wanted tied down and they were all tied down on new contracts. All of that would come to more than 5 million.

WOW man leaves football ground in training gear shocker!

Get a grip, don't you think we have enough to be genuinely worried about without making shit up?

He ignored the photographers and journos, so what. Wouldn't you?

You do know that was outside Ibrox and after a meeting with the owner?

His face says it all ffs

And as I said in another thread...

Some of the latest comments are embarrassing.

Why the fuck would you want to send the club down even further by spending money which simply isn't there?

Im one of Allys biggest supporters but he is to blame as much as any because we got fucked out of Europe twice and that is were alot of the extra income comes from.

Ally brought in his own players and convinced Whyte to tie down the players he wanted, he then decided to loan out Fleck who is one of our forwards.

5 million plus add ons, Jelas wage, Weirs wage and others wage. This will cut the costs and get some much needed money.

lost faith in Whyte, simply don't believe he has any money.

I find it completely bizarre that this guy claims to have £xx million to invest, yet no-one has a scoob where his money is coming from.

Murray was well known, most of us had heard of MIM and if we hadn't easy enough to stick it into google to see MIM export steel, etc...

Murray gets alot of stick for how we ended up, but he was hit very hard by the recession. Before it hit, his net worth was valued at almost 800m. Having an owner with that kind of financial backing, suddenly an 18m debt to the bank and a possible tax case of 49m seems like a huge inconvience, but not threatening to the life of the club.

since the recession however his wealth has plumeted by 80%. At 100m, suddenly the potential 60m debt of Rangers DID becoming threatening to the clubs life.

Now with Craig Whyte, i just don't understand the lack of transparency and where exactly his money comes from.

Is he legit or is it all just smoke and mirrors?

wikipedia still have him down as being a possible billionaire: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Whyte

but if your a billionaire... then it's obvious where your money comes from.

Check out Forbes list of billionaires online. Theres around 1100 billionaires on the planet. And every single one of them, a quick google search will show you where their cash comes from.

Take Oprah Winfrey for example, and odd one you think as a TV personality, but she owns her own production companies in the US where she is one of the most famous celebs, worht an estimated 4bn. Richard Branson is another, i think hes around 4bn, we all know where his wealth comes from.

You'll also find Chelski boss Roman Abram, and The sheiks in charge of Man City, who made their billions from Oil.

Whyte however is a "venture capitalist". So it could be his wealth is tied up in stocks. But if he was worth 1BN from holding % shares in big time companies, again we'd know about that. Take Warrne Buffet for example, at one point the worlds second richest man, only takes a quick google search to see his wealth came from owning stocks in Coca Cola (and other household names).

Even if you take the "rich lists" published every year by the Times, you will see the lieks of Alan Sugar (Amstrad), Simon Cowell (Syco), Bannatyne (health clubs, casinos...). I could go on.

The point is, if Whyte is richer than Murray (over 100m) im finding it really hard to believe, from the point of view, i dont think you can make that kind of money without being on the Radar. 100m is a huge amount. If you have it, people KNOW where it came from.

The only thing that gives me any sort of confidence is that i believe that Murray & his legal team must have, surely, asked CW to provide solid PROOF he had the funds needed.

given the choice of targets, why would you sanction the transfers?

All the ones bitching, I wonder how excited they were by Sadanz and Higgenbottom or whoever he was?

Another transfer window shambles. Utterly embarrassing - and I'm not necessarily talking about the lack of signings but, rather, the manner in which we have conducted ourselves over the past three weeks.

Whilst I fully appreciate that the press speculation is beyond our control, how we react to it is not. We appear to be incapable of handling our business (transfers or otherwise) with any degree of professionalism.

It is abuntantly clear now that there is no meaningful collaboration between the Manager and the Chairman - whilst they may talk on the phone regularly and meet, albeit infrequently, it is clear now that there is no rapport and no working relationship.

One also wonders what the other members of the exectutive team are actually doing at the moment and whether or not they are worthy of their collective salaries.

Yes, we are 'hamstrung' financially at the moment and, perhaps, for some considerable time to come, but must we be so amateurish...so abject, in our public and business relations?

This afternoon we were 'surprised' by Craig Whyte's statement and his somewhat 'shrill' reaction to some adverse media attention (what's new eh?).

Quickly thereafter we learned of the unwelcome and belated exit of our only remaining reliable striker - the worst kept secret in rangers history!

But to have to witness the pathetic spectacle of Ally McCoist leaving Ibrox having been refused funds to replace Jelavic is depressing and demoralising.

I think if I were Ally I would tender my resignation now...not simply because of Whyte's refusal to support his transfer demands but, because of the dissembling and utterly misleading way in which he has led Ally to believe that he would support him.

Time now to adjourn to a darkened room with two strong tranquilisers....hopefully to emerge tomorrow in a more pragmatic frame of mind - optimism is not in my vocabulary at the moment!

You and I will, undoubtedly, follow on....but who will we be following ?

Dark and dismal days I'm afraid.

I'm with GOAT here.

He's a liar and a coward.

It won't be him that answers questions at press conferences. It'll be McCoist who has to put up with the media asking why nobody was brought in, when McCoist has previously said we need bodies in. It'll be McCoist who has to answer questions on Whyte's finances.

Come out and tell us what the deal is Whyte. None of your bullshit one liners. The truth. It's what the fans want to hear.
