Celtic's Dylan McGeouch, who featured as a substitute in his team's Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Hearts at the weekend, and Rangers midfielder Rhys McCabe have also won call-ups.

Dundee United trio Stuart Armstrong, Johnny Russell and Gary Mackay-Steven are also in the selection, as is Liverpool defender Danny Wilson. Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes has been rested.

Glad Islam Feruz has been fast tracked. The boy has all the talent to make it and this level and beyond. Very strong U21 team, finally were producing talented Scottish players. (tu)

To be fair, we've been fairly consistantly decent at youth levels, they just never seem to make the step up. What were we in a few years back, got to the final against Spain? U19 Euro Championships or something like that?

Agreed though, that's a pretty decent squad. For the sake of the national team, hopefully this group can grow together. Best of luck to Feruz, looks like he could be a special talent
