TheKingObv 10,860
Hypothetically, if Barcelona win both the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey, will they have had a more successful season than Madrid? Technically it would be 5 trophies for Barcelona, compared to Madrid's 1.Thoughts?
King Jela 21,684
Meh. Barcelona 1 - Real Madrid 2Ronaldo.
ClintonGrey 365
I would say it would be only if they beat RM in the final of the CL.

Senna 735
A Clasico final, with a Barca win, would be a fitting end to the season. (assuming Real see out La Liga as deserved champs.)
The Godfather 75,699
Bread and butter is the one you want most aka the league, the CL final would be special but Bayern, Madrid and even Chelsea will not be fearing Barca quite as much as before.Jose now has that monkey off his back with beating them away and if it went to an all Spanish final Mourinho has a great record in finals. derek1872 548
Good question and one that really can be debated either way I think. The CL is the premier club tournament but winning your domestic league when you have such a big rivalry with the club in second is huge.If Man U go on to win the league would it be considered a good/succesful season even after the horrific Euro season? JamieD 20,041
Of course, and the Real Madrid board would surely think so too. Although Jose seems to be cut more slack than anyone else would be.
offminorthreat 1,467
In the OP scenario, Barca are more successful. If we won UEFA final in 2008, without a doubt I would have said we had a more successful season that the mhanks. TBH I think that even though we lost. Same goes for the op. nelsonRFC82 305
3 out of the 4 teams competing to be Champions of Europe are not going to be champions in their own country! (Sorry for opening the discussion beyond El Classico Dos!)...so only really a Madrid win would definitively lay claim to being the best team in Europe. Would also be quite funny to see Bayern - Chelsea final, it would, in a way, be seen as a bit of an anti-climax (not my opinion) given all the talk of Barca - Madrid final! JamieD 20,041
Not in their fans eyes it would'nt.You have to say this for Jose, he has done an incredible job of lowering the expectations of the most successful club in European football history.
