Just got round to reading a book which has been sitting gathering dust for a year or so, "It's Rangers For Me?"

At the end of the 'Celtc Minded' chapter there is a note on a report from the "Drogheda Independant" about a young Irish player who was offered a trial by the Rangers, but declined the offer after threats against him and his family.

Does anyone know who the player was?

Neil Lennon, Aiden McGeady, James McCarthy or Willo Flood ( Jasper Carrot's love child)?

I've said it once and I'll say it again, willo flood IS a football manager regen player!

It wasn't Alan Maybury he was from Dublin,I remember reading the story in an Irish newspaper and it was the boys dad who had nothing but praise for us and the club,he was worried about the reaction from celtic supporters and talked his kid out of signing.
