There is a complex and vast underground system of string that connects every british football ground to every other british football ground. At the end of every piece of string is a a paper cup. Sky Sports News hires an army of dwarves to man each paper cup. When the Sky Sports News presenter above ground hears of any hot transfer gossip, he taps out the relevant information in morse code onto the floor.
