Richard Brittain has asked St Johnstone to tear up the pre contract agreement that he has signed with them.

Steve Lomas says that as far as he is concerned Brittain has signed the deal and is their player from July.

Could be interesting to see how this one pans out. Has anybody tried to go back on a pre contract before?

Pretty sure until the contract is signed he can back out of the deal.

Yup, not sure about Cavani, it would be unlike the board and would smash the transfer record for a second year in a row but they are looking at strikers I believe. Depends if Gomez leaves or not and whether he's the type of player Guardiola wants. If they have the choice between Lewandowski for £17m or Cavani for £50m then there's no doubt it will be Lewandowski they go for.
