Defensively they looked extremely shaky, both Mexes and Evra guilty of making simple mistakes. Going forward they are stronger, but they seem to lack someone who can open up a team who are set-up well and organised. Then again, with the pressure off we might actually play well. I doubt it but maybe a quarter final. Lampard will be a huge loss, and i'm not too sure Hodgson can take us far. He doesnt seem like an inspiring fella. I always think national managers should be highly passionate but i just dont get that from Hodgson. On the top of crappy overall performance, Ronaldo missed a penalty and Pepe scored an own goal - how could it go any worse? Their last games: 0:0 at home against Macedonia (lol), 0:0 against Poland in Warsaw (watched that one, they were garbage as well). Sure, potential is there, they can always explode like against Bosnia in Euro qual playoffs (6:2 at home), but to be honest I don't think they can be a serious threat to Netherlands, Germany and Denmark (who finished ahead of them in qualifications).
