Why would other clubs want to set precedent for hammering a newco?

In the clamour from tims to "wipe out the proddy club" and other fans to "hammer the big boy", it does appear that any reflection on the eventualities that may arise, has been well and truly over-looked, certainly in media circles.

Apart from the loss of significant Sky and travelling support money, they want to set a precedent that will not only bring that loss about, but will also hammer themselves, as the new precedent would send them too to Division 3.

With more than half the SPL in trouble, will vindictiveness and bitterness, under that worn out and uncovincing veil of "sporting integrity", lead to them into blindly voting like turkeys for xmas?

I could make further points regarding finances and bold counter claims by rival fans, but this breath-taking short-sightedness and utter idiocy is almost lemming like.

The "rules" seem to be that there are no rules and each case is judged on it's merits. This basically means they can apply whatever sanctions they see fit to us, but without necessarily doing so again in the future should another club run in to trouble...all this under the banner of "sporting integrity" my the fuck!

Because Scottish football is run by idiots who have their heads firmly buried in the sand. The game in this country has been on the slide for years, it's just none of the diddy clubs wants to look up and see it so they adopt a 'it will never happen to us' policy - whilst their idiot fans blame the 'Old Firm' for ruining the game, completely forgetting that it is us and the tims that have allowed them all to operate above their means because of the inflated income the pairing brings to the game. None so blind as them what refuses to hear.

Guaranteed that even if we stayed in the SPL, clubs will go to the wall within a few years and have to reap the fruits of what they have sewn here these past few months. I'd stake all the money I owe the bank on it ;)

Their hatred of our club is so bad that they will put their own club at risk as long as they can destroy our club.

They don't want to hammer us for what they think we have done, they want to hammer us because their bigots and simply hate us, it's this hatred for us that will destroy the SPL.

It becomes more and more obvious with each passing day that this is far from paranoia, given the evidence.

They want us lifeless but still able to blink so we can keep their little clubs running as always.

Chained down with no chance to challenge for anything but still there none the less so they can line their hate filled pockets.

Fuck them, let's get the fuck out of this division and continue our traditions while not being used as bait.

The "blame the hand that feeds" mentality has saturated the support of the non-old firm clubs over recent decades; I expect little in the way of realism from those types.

Clubs should be cautious before placing their futures in the hands of the self-deluding.

Because Scottish football is full of petulant, vindictive, jealous bastards and also that success breeds contempt. Fuck them all (apart from our wonderful club). Tukeys want to vote for Christmas then go right ahead, but dont come running cap in hand when the shit hits the fan.
