SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,769
It would be an excellent deal for both parties Bayern need to sell Robben asap and replace him they have already signed Shaqiri who could be a brilliant signing considering how little money he cost but they need a proven world class talent also they need a Quality CB to shore up their defence as Lahm and Alaba are world class fullbacks they need to replace Badstuber or Boateng.Manuel NeuerPhilipp LahmJerome BoatengDavid AlabaLuiz GustavoBastian SchweinsteigerToni KroosXherdan ShaqiriFrank RiberyThomas MullerMario GomezThat is the makings of an excellent sideNeuerLahm Boateng Hummels AlabaSchweinsteiger Gustavo(NEW SIGNING) Kroos RiberyGomez

Gazzalivesforever 1,987
Strange move for him but with a few additions to that squad they will be champions league winners. A solid CB is a must and is a back up striker to Gomes for when he has his inevitable bad patch. He'd do alright by going for Hummels.
Gazzalivesforever 1,987
As they solid CB I meant obviously not as cover for Gomes

JamieD 18,893
Obviously wasn't enough.Happens with players all the time , now managers .........Somehow I think Barcelona would have offered him more to stay than Bayern will offer him.
The Godfather 71,737
It's not about the money imo as chelsea would have offered more than Bayern....

A solid CB is a must and is a back up striker to Gomes for when he has his inevitable bad patch. He'd do alright by going for Hummels. They have signed Dante from gladbach who imo has all the qualities to be a top class cb . They are getting him with plenty experience in the bundesliga but at a good age that he can still improve .As for hummels , they have tried to bring him back to bayern twice and on both occasions he's made it clear he is happy at Dortmund . I think if he moves from Dortmund it would be abroad .
JamieD 18,893
Jamie , there is ZERO chance, if he goes there , he will be getting less than he got at Barca .I didn't say that. He might get more than his previous wage at Barca. I am sure Barca would have offered him more to stay than Bayern will to come.

barcelonabear 23
Obviously wasn't enough.Happens with players all the time , now managers .........He was given a blank cheque and told to pick his own salary when he decided he was going to take a year off, so it's not about money. He'll take a year off, relax with his family and then watch plenty of football meaning he can hit the ground running with a new club (unlike a certain Frenchman). Unsurprising that clubs are trying to get him tied up for the start of the 2013-14 season.
