DarcheVinny
McGregor, Davis and Bocanegra The Next To Quit? This weekend, has been one of dire misery for all Rangers fans, as player, after player, after player, are making statements to say that they wil reject the transfer of their contracts from the old Rangers company, to the new one.RangersMedia have been informed that Allan McGregor, club captain Steven Davis and Carlos Bocanegra will be the next three players to state that it is their intention to quit Rangers. If a the official news does not break today, then we expect it to happen tomorrow, as Ally McCoist is dealt a huge three-pronged blow to his preparations for next season.Could things get any worse for the fans, but also the club and new owners? We don't know what league we are playing in, or how many players will even be left to play for our beloved club next season. The whole situation is beyond depressing.Of course, do not take the above as gospel, but you won't be surprised to read that these thee top stars are possibly wanting to jump ship.Charles Green believes that all these players cannot reject the transfer of their contracts, but how he goes about challenging this, remains to be seen.I only hope that these players had the dignity and professionalism, to inform Ally McCoist of their decision, following his very heartfelt statement yesterday, after the news that McCabe and Aluko would be on their way.If the above is confirmed as being correct later today, or at the start of next week, I will again wish all three the very best of luck with the rest of their careers.Obviously, don't take this as being 100% correct yet, but it's hardly surprising is it? GeneralCartmanLee
Of course they are all going to quit.We will need to build a squad we can afford from the bottom up, whatever league we are in, we could never keep this squad whatever happened. This expectation that people will write off million of pounds to give it to charles green is madness.....but mob mentailty seems to have taken over on here. Gaz92
Was to be expected, although I doubt he'll be shouting it, but I'm pretty sure Green will be wanting rid of their wages.

the goal machine
Not surprised about Davis or Bocanegra, but I thought McGregor indicated that he wanted to stay no matter what? Apparently not.

I hope that the court cases to follow ensure The Rangers get a fee for their transfers.I can't for the life of my understand why the likes of Naismith would burn his bridges to such an extent and so soon. He's going to be in a very uncomfortable place if Green's assertions that they must stay prove to be true.
King Jela
Why not just wait and see what league we're in before making a decision like this ? Or at least transfer over to the newco so we can get a fee before leaving. Fucking arseholes.
legalbeagle
The biggest disappointment would be that Davis, as club captain, hasn't particularly stepped up to the mark, McCulloch has been a far stronger figurehead.Davis should have a personal responsibility to attent the players meeting with Green and represent them fairly, rather than just abandon them. trueblueal
Shagger could have offered to stay but he'd have immediately been sold. No reason why he would agree to that. We can't afford this squad in the SPL and certainly not in a lower league. Green will be delighted make no mistake he needs the savings this will lead to and he doesn't have to be the bad guy. This is needed for us to restart and prosper in future

CanadianBacon
Get ready for the worst , because for 95% of them money is king ............That is a cast-iron, 100% accurate statement. The average pro-footballer of today will tell you anything you, the fan, want to hear (or at least what he 'thinks' you want to hear), will kiss any badge he happens to be wearing at the time and will promise the earth........if the money's right. When they get a better offer elsewhere........goodnight Vienna. A shower of money-grabbing mercenaries.

He's been far too quiet for the man who's supposed to be the leader of the players.
Clemdog
Hopefully Alexander stays, he's been more than loyal to the Club and owes us nothing, but it would nice to have a more than decent player in-between the sticks.
tango
Anybody that thinks the bigger names are going to stay needs to wake up,they are all going to go,the least they can do is tell the truth and stop coming out with the pish that whittaker and Naismith came out with
