Jimfanciesthedude
We finally get to sort the club out from top to bottom once and for all, no quick fixes that Murray was famed for, We can now have a club that is ran the way a modern day club needs to be ran, sell a portion of the club to the fans to raise capital and then rubn the club with the idea of actually making money to be spent back into the clubproper youth development and eventually a proper youth academy, beginning with George Adams returning and given full control over our Youth set upProper financial outlook, making sure we budget for only what we are guaranteed and none of this hoping we get europe etc to boost our budgetsWage cap, yeah i said it, fuck this 15k a week shite even if we get back to the SPL, we should still be offering no more than maybe 8 grand a week (just a guess as i havent a clue what we take it etc etc, thats for the bean counters to figure out)Keep everything in house, none of this outsourcing shite that Murray ended up doing with us, catering, stewarding, everything. It must belong to Rangers and kept within Rangersedit to add, a proper scouting network, none of this jobs for boys shite. Have scouts in all lower leagues and countries we can get visa's for, Sweden, Norway, Belgium etc all must have players ood enough for the SPL but in their lower leaguesIt may take a while to be back fighting for the SPL title this way, but at least we wont be parying on TV money or euro money ever again
The Monk
Blackpool have a maximum wage cap of 10k a week and they've done fantasticly well with their resources.

Jimfanciesthedude
a wage cap will limit the playing staff and virtually guarantees us 2nd placepish, nothing to say we cant buy the best SPL players and find gems down south, ffs Hooper was at scunthorpe and he scores for fun up here* rand a week is easily enough to attract players that can win the SPL, especially as our dropping out will force clubs to offer even less to their players and take even less of a bidWhen our division is sorted we should be going to any of the out of contract players in the SPL that are half decent and et them tied up, then the guys that have say a year left we make it known to the media that we will look at them the next season (no tapping up lol)Fuck we could get Templeton for peanuts and giving him up to 8 grand a week to play for the Rangers will hopefully be good enough for him

Only thing I'm not certain of is the wage cap. We would still have to attract decent players. Unfortunately the way finances and TV rights are the likelihood is nights like Manchester 2008 will be few and far between. Think your spot on with the youth development and bringing on hidden gems from outwith. Obviously we need to look at maximising profits from these transaction. We will however still need some experienced players. Good post.

Getstiffed
Someone mentioned earlier: we could have been done rebuilding by now if we'd had some forethought 5 years ago. Instead we let the players hound a manager out of the club.
bluebear1971
I would hope that rather than have a wage cap - if say we go to sfl 3 we would have time to bring through young players that would hopefully be good enough to eventually play in the spl along side more experienced players. So rather than paying ridiculous wages to average players we would have a mix of experienced players on higher wages with young players who have gained experience of playing for the club. nachothelegend
a wage cap will limit the playing staff and virtually guarantees us 2nd placeOk then lets go, and get loads of debt again ,and chase it, my god man are you ever ever going to look on the Bright side .If we go to the 3RD Div which I hope and pray we do , it will then allow us to get rid of the Hate mob who is baying for our Blood, and will give us an opportunity to save Money and grow our Youth with a Mix of Veteran Pro's .That would give us the Time, and Money to grow, as we would not have the overheads ,and wage Bill at a level which is not Manageable. We are going to lose all the Big hitters, and more will dessert us.So we must accept that staying in the SPL, we will not have the Players to compete after the sanctions, and punish Squad get hold of us.A wage Cap will have to be initiated , no doubt about that.
