#SFA tell newco #Rangers to get their application for SFA membership in by Friday.

The #SFA application must include fit and proper details from administrators re Charles Green and consortium. #Rangers

Why the rush from the SFA? are they scared we might go to England?

There is a new season starting fairly soon, I'd imagine that they'd like to have things sorted by the time it kicks off.

They sold the club to Green.

But the newco is applying for membership in its own right. I could understand the previous owners' input if we were dealing with the transfer of an existing membership but that's not how it'll work.

i would not submit this until we have a league to play in.

say the worst happens and we are not even accepted to the sfl. then this membership to the sfa would block any plans we had to try and move elsewhere as other countrys would not entertain us while we are still tied in to scottish football.

once the vote to not let us in the spl is confirmed as a no. we should submit an application to the english f.a. and tell them we will start at whatever level they want.

The Scottish Football Association have requested that Charles Green submits the necessary paperwork to apply for the transfer of Rangers' membership to his new company by Friday.

The owner of Sevco 5088, which own the assets of the Ibrox club bought for £5.5m, has made a short, formal request to the governing body for their board to consider switching the membership from the old company to his newco.

Green though is yet to provide necessary information for the request to be considered, such as the details of the shareholdings of his company and its structure, a business plan and information to comply with the Scottish FA's rules on fit and proper persons.

The Scottish FA will not consider the request until any company owned by Green is playing in a recognised football league but is understood they are keen to have all the necessary paperwork in place.

when are people gonna accept that the English FA dont want us, its a pipe dream especially after what happened in Manchester! they dont want a team with so much press attention ect ....

Th fact that they want fit and proper person info from the administrators suggests that they accept that Green's Rangers will be the same Club as belongs to the limited company which is in administration. That's good from the preservation of history point of view.

Although from that news report it would appear the preferred route is to transfer membership after all.

Not entirely sure why we'd want to do that as presumably they'd see fit to impose any sanctions they previously wanted to impose on oldco onto newco.

Going by that logic the greater Manchester police wont be used to police Prem. game either then? Seeing as how they are just as culpable?

Wishful thinking, what with the enemy propaganda.

I agree in theory, but the English thing seems very complicated even if it's applying right at the bottom.

Fuck the SFA

First they tell us nothing can happen until we're in a recognised league, but they want the papers on Friday? But plan to do nothing with them until the SFL/SPL vote us in? Aye right. More likely the fucking tims want every opportunity to leak information and make more trouble for us.

They can fucking wait in line and if the SFL agree to us moving to Div3, then the papers will be served.

That sounds like it would make sense, then again...
