Have Rangers been stolen

If Whyte is found guilty of fraudulently purchasing Rangers surely that would mean Green has bought stolen property, and he would have to be able to prove that he had no knowledge of the possibility that it was obtained by deception,I think the ongoing police inquiry would screw his defense and he could possibly lose all claim to Rangers, also would Duff&Phelps have the right to liquidate stolen property. If that scenario came to pass would the ownership of Rangers revert back to Murray. I know it could be a lot of shite as I have little legal knowledge but its bugging me.

stolen property!?

he's no baught a dodgy flat screen tv mate, it was an asset purchase of a PLC in administration. Whyte will face criminal charges, his takeover was illegal, but all i can see it doing is going somewhat to vidicating the club.

Surely Murray Is to blame, that's why he sold out to a venture capitalist?

He knew the shit was about to hit the fan, and after struggling to sell the club for a year or more due to the potential debts, the only way to minimise the demise would be to try and cut the debts down to a minimal. Selling to a venture capatalist, who's job it is to make risky businesses viable by what ever means.

People may well hate Whyte, but I don't think he really had a choice. No-one was willing to put in their hard earned to such a risky venture. The only way to reduce the debts/potential debts was to put the club into admin, and hope for a CVA.

When Rangers come out of this at the other end, I certainly won't be blaming Whyte. What other choice did he have? Maybe he could've went about things a little better, kept fans in the loop, but if he showed his hand at that stage then no-one would have went near us.

Rangers are a business after all, and if businesses are not run properly will eventually go bust. Murray's pockets were obviously not as deep as he made out they were during the last half of his reign as chairman.

I know what you mean regarding Murray and I feel the same but if Whyte is found guilty of obtaining Rangers fraudulently it will open up a can of worms
