Fan Investment Model

The Rangers Supporters Trust today announces that it has been developing a vehicle which could ensure fans can be part of the club's future. More details were due to be announced shortly.

In the interest of unity we shall be consulting with our sister fan organisations and those parties (such as John Brown’s consortium) who have the long-term interests of the club at heart before a formal launch.

The scheme we envisaged would enable supporters to join forces and purchase shares to create a bloc shareholding in the Club on behalf of fans.

We have been developing a model of fan investment in consultation with the relevant advisory bodies and tailoring it to the situation at Ibrox.

We would also like to ask that all the current playing squad give the fans time to put a consortium in place whilst considering their future, we hope as many of them as possible will stay and become part of something historic as the world's most successful club moves forward into a new era.

We are now in a position to call on Rangers fans from all areas of the Rangers Family with the requisite knowledge and experience to come forward to assist us in this task.

Instead of £200 a share, I would prefer to pay a tenner a month for my share(£120PA).

With no sales right but the option not to renwew.

This would give us constant yearly income and will let more people join.

If we could get 30k of people doing it in the first year,

it would bring in £3.6m in the first year.

No harm in it - but why not get behind Rangers Unite, instead of deliberately causing factions that they say they are trying to avoid? Unite come forward with this idea at the end of March, I believe? And now here we are at the end of June with yet another fan ownership model? FFS just unite behind one effing model!

I would trust Craig Whyte with my money before I trusted the RST or Dingwall.

Anyone who gives them a penny is a fool in my opinion and should give me a call as I've got some plots of land on Venus for sale.

Birlliant - we went in to admin in february.

Liquidation was announced a couple of weeks ago.

Now the RST have read something on another (lower leage) website and thought "lets have a bash at that".

This club needs massive investment to run even for 1 season and no-one is putting their hand in their pockets. the only person who has to date is Green.

Fan ownership would be great but that requires far more long term planning than we currently have time for at present. We need a handful of people who are willing to cough up cash just now to pull us out of this mess. There are plenty who are able (McColl, Park, etc) but are they willing?

I am all for the fans getting some form of control on the board but would not support or contribute to any fans consortium which would allow Dingwall and his lapdogs to get their feet under the table.If anything we should learn from all this debacle is we never trust one individual ever again to be in complete control of our club irrespective of how much money they have or their standing in life.

I would rather Green stayed than let your organisation get anywere near owning Rangers. Rangers Unite guys are working tirelesly to try and get a break and get someone to take thier project off, and I reckon every Rangers fan would Unite behind thier business plan. Fan Ownership will only work if Bomber gets Walter Smith and John Grieg to open up a bank account and ask the Rangers fans for money.

Its a call for Unity and You know most of the Rangers fans would never Unite behind you. So Disappear.

I prefer www.rangerunite.com myself. Signed upto them ages ago and have been getting any bear i know to sign up also. So far ive got roughly 175 people to sign up by letting them know about this.

Green can do nothing more about the future of the club but wait on the reply regarding membership to the SPL/SFL.
