The_Blue_Flash
I was thinking about all these so called loyal rangers men who can't wait to jump ship as quick as possible and of course are a bunch of sheep "... Oh he's quit, I"ll quit" The reasons given all this push "... I deserve to play in the top league..." They were so lucky they played for Rangers and people treated them them like heroes, there are plenty of footballers even from big clubs on the scrap heap and to pretend they are gutted makes me sick if you truly were you would stay and help the club when it actually NEEDS you to give back.Perhaps I was thinking if they really cared, had it been all a rouse to just get rid of Green even, looking out for the club and the fans, saying they won't transfer over until he sells to a real rangers man, or the fans, in some way trying to look out for the best interests of the club, fight for it, stick up for it but no it's all about I want more money and can't been seen slumming it in Div 1 with Rangers, it's despicable p.s It's not as it would affect their selection for their international side which some players say in certain squads, it's SCOTLAND FFS we will take anyone who has the full kit and knows what a ball is. I am very dismayed by these people I thought the club and fan could rely on
Ricky_
I feel sorry for the younger fans.it must be like realising the christmas is a sham and yer maw is the one puttin presents under the tree when you go to sleep.I also knew football players were mercenaries, only interested in making as much as they possibly can before retiring, but i have to admit, i did always think that at least some clubs, there was a "core" of players who actually have loyalty to the club, who love the club and the club meant more to them than money.I'm not saying i was totally wrong on that, but it's even worse than i thought it was.Take a club like Man City or Chelsea, how hollow must it be to cheer on they players who would never pull on an MCFC or CFC shirt in a million years if it wasn't for the billionaires filling their pockets? Remeber robinho's press conference at Man City, he thought he had signed for Chelsea. But at least Chelsea fans probably take heart from guys like John Terry & Frank Lampard who they see as being the real Chelsea men in their ranks.I dont think Terry or Lampard would turn their backs on Chelsea if their situation was like ours, but then again i didn't expect it from McGregor. At least we have McCoist and McCulloch, Jardine, Durrant and a few other proper Rangers men that maintain the soul of the club. It's a harsh lesson to learn, i think up until now many of us have just accepted that footbal has become what it has become, where loyalty, and playing for the shirt has almost descended into myth.Maybe the sport wouldn't be so bad if we all took a leaf out of Athletic Club Bilbao's book introduced a singing policy (they only sign players who are absque, or have relatives or a family history that ties them to the basque region). BroonBear
The players are giving reasons claiming that they want to play at the highest level, win things etc but are reportedly linked to teams like Southampton, WBA, Sunderland, Sheffield Utd. No disrespect to any of these teams but even in the 3 years it would take Rangers to get back in the SPL (if the sham of a league still exists)very few of them will actually have won anything (unless relegated to the Championship) or played much European football. If being relegated was good enough for guys like Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet etc with Juventus back in 2006 then surely our players should be having a good long hard look at themselves! Guest
It feels like its just us the fans, and Mccoist with Jardine, Durrant and a couple of others left. I feel like we've been deserted. These players really cant understand what it is theyve done. The players and staff who stay and show loyalty should be given the upmost thanks and respect. Because unfortunately it looks like theyre the only real Rangers men left at the club.
