New signings - Not leaving?

Recommended Posts

Just a thought that it seems strange to me that players who were signed in the last year are joining 'newco'

Wallace and goian both joining up

Ortiz says he is joining but will be seeking a move away.

Boca and bedoya yet to declare

Is their something in their contracts preventing them from walking?

Goian staying shocked me considering so called 'rangers men have walked away' and Ortiz statement are my reasons for asking this

Something I wanted to ask was how can Aluko leave under TUPE rules when his contract ended at the end of the season?....he wasn't under contract to invoke TUPE and the club have a 2 year option on him that hasn't been took up yet but there must still be the option of taking that up...?

Anybody clear this up for me as I don't fully understand it.

Can it have anything to do with us still owing money on their transfer? Would they need to go back to their old clubs if they walked.

Will it mean when we sell them on for a fee we have to pay their previous club?

Probably a load of rubbish, but it is strange as you would have thought they would have been first to go as to be fair they only arrived 1 year ago and for about 4 months of that they had to take a pay cut.

i read last night that Killie say life without Rangers will cost them £1m with part of that being no sell-on fee from Naismith now that he has gone for nothing

was it actually stated that he's using TUPE legislation to leave? as you say, if his contract was over he had no legal commitment to stay.

To be honest I asked a question but figured it was via the TUPE route, I know his contract was over but written into the 1 year deal was the option of a further two years so why can't that be taken up?

sure it could be, but I'd imagine that would be through a mutual agreement between the player and the club, ie we had first option on him but not a guaranteed right to sign him. could be well off the mark as I often am :)

np man. Critising or questioning Aluko is frowned upon here by the majority seeing as he paid upwards of 200k to play for us depending on who you believe. And my point about jig was in reply to the op who said all the players with new contracts from last year were staying. Jig being the odd man oot.

Personally, i think Aluko has done the sneeky like the rest of them. doh

Aluko paid to play for us so he could put himself in the shop window or bag a contract, its nothing to do with a passion for this club. He was great for us and a fantastic signing and he done well for himself out of it. Good luck to him, expected him to go.
