FFS....

And so it proves not to have been doctored at all.

Frankie kindly provided links to the Falkirk Chairmans original texts

"Things are never quite as simple as they may seem. What is harmless banter to one person is a breach of the SFA's Articles to another. What is joke to some may prove antogonistic to others. The board is duty bound to act in Falkirk FC's best interests. That comes before all else and we have to take into account the views of our fans (many of whom complained about Saturday's comments), the SFA rules and regulations, and security and crowd safety issues. We also have to try to protect our income streams so that we can str4engthen our team.

Why did we take action over Saturday's announcement? First, as a member of the SFA we must abide by SFA rules. What was said could land us with a hefty fine. Second, our primary duty at matches is safety. We cannot antagonise a potentially volatile opposing support. And, the visit to Ibrox next week should mean that instead of telling Steven Pressley to sell a player, we will be able to allow him to sign one. So we want a fullhouse at Ibrox!

Our board is totally focussed on Falkirk Football Club and our success. We have little interest in what happens with Rangers. We have worked tirelessly over the summer to promote our interests with the SFA (Academy status) and SPL (U 20 league) as well with SFL and SPL clubs to promote a larger top league. Much of this is unseen by our fans but I would assure you this is the case. Rest assured, none of us have any sympathy for Rangers.

I hope you understand why we had to move swiftly and take appropriate action. I would now like us to focus on our team and what we do on the pitch.

Regards

Martin Ritchie"

That makes you look like a complete fanny now

and still the fools turn up and give these people their money.dear oh dear

Fools?

In the cup games the ticket money is split, in a variety of ways but Rangers away will get 40% or more of the ticket money. Boycotting the away Cup games is a pointless exercise if all you want is to not give them cash. If you want to hurt their pockets then you have to organise a boycott of the HOME cup matches as that is where they get the windfall...40% of 50,000 tickets is a lot more than 40% of 5000 tickets.

Best thing to do is to go and support Rangers.

His letter not only proves his low level of intelligence, but also, the typical bitterness of clubs opposed to RFC.

He starts off highlighting that a joke at someone else’s expense can be antagonistic to them. In the same paragraph, he states that he must protect ffc income streams ? (got nothing to do really with the criticism of RFC).

Then they must abide by sfa rules, & a mention of a possible fine. Now RFC have potentially volatile supporters (is that a result of being antagonised, or just in general) – then because RFC are so big, ffc may be able to buy another player finance by the supporters of RFC.

Then ffc has little interest in what happens at RFC, (even tho’ we buy their players), And he finishes that paragraph of with; “they do not have any sympathy for RFC”.

------------------------------

One of ffc employees broadcasted acquisitions against RFC, the very same club that finances the purchases of your (ffc) players.

Where is the apology to RFC – you low-life little Tramp – Because if you don’t; you’ll deserve a hefty fine by the Sfa.

Martin Ritchie is a decent bloke - I see nothing to take offence at in this letter - no doubt many will try (That seems to be a standard). Here we have a man telling it straight as he sees it - and I see nothing wrong in that.

He should be castigated for the 'volatile' support comment alone.
