Dunno if OP is serious or not, but ive seen the huge israeli flag with the Rangers badge in it at Ibrox and it annoyed me, its nothing to do with Rangers and a flag that size at a game will get seen on TV and will make many assume that our whole support is Pro-Israel and things like that. No need for it in this day and age, as far as I can find we have no connection to Israel of Judaism whatsoever other then two Israelis that we have signed who played for under a year each. I dont mean to go on some rant but its a question ive wanted an answer to for a while.

If you look at the star of david, it crosses lines over whereas our first logo, while being the same outside shape, was filled.

No idea re: the Israel flag. Maybe they were Israeli Rangers supporters? I've never seen an Israel flag at a Rangers game so no idea, just a guess.

There was a lot tighter links than just this at Ibrox. A long history of connections with the Jewish community, not something to be ashamed of. As for Isreal, that is a different thing alltogether and there are right and wrong on both sides, not something outsiders should get involved in unless it is a non-violent way to help stop the killing of innocents.

Wasn't the Israeli flag a direct result of the Jolly Rhebellious ones flying their flags of support for the Palestinian cause? Any revolutionary cause an' all that!

Seems to me how I remember it anyways. Plus we had Avi Cohen and Bonni Ginsburg back in the day.

Would have double-repped if I could.

I didn't know about links with the Jewish community, any idea where to find more information?

Re: outsiders getting involved - that's a great point. Far too many people get "involved", almost always on the side of Palestine, but it's a very complicated issue that outsiders should stay out of unless, as you say, can actually offer help in the way of making things more peaceful. Well said (tu)
