Why are we still singing about the UVF

I have seen someone trying to get people to stop shouting certain chants at a game 2 seasons ago, and she were forced to leave as she was being bombarded with rolled up papers, bits of pies etc for the game. No one is going to stand up and say anything when they get that kind of aggressive response.

Serves her right for trying to inflict her views on the majority, I dont understand why anyone would go to a football match to be offended, its like living in an alternate universe where all the good is being taken out of going to a game, at one time it was full of blokes letting off steam and having a great time now its becoming like a womens guild meeting, dont stand, dont shout, dont sing, dont drink, dont swear ffs whats the point.

Why don't all the folk who don't want us to sing Loyalist songs or songs of Ulster get together and start a new singing section in BF2? That way when The Blue Order and the Union Bears start belting out a song they don't like they can all stand up as one, turn towards them, put their fingers to their lips and 'shoosh' them til they stop. That might sound radical but I'm sure a good brow beating would have them all acting sheepishly and staring at their feet as they realise the 'error' of their ways. Then they can lead the way as pioneers in their own right by leading the rest of the stadium in Rangers only songs.

Or maybe they just don't have the bottle to actually try and push change through. Healthy debate is a good thing but it only takes you so far, after that decisive action is required and if nobody is going to take it then NOTHING WILL EVER change.

Handwringers is a term used by people who cannot provide a reasoned response to the argument. They are Rangers users first and Rangers fans second.

Here's one for you , Rangers Fans sing about the UVF because Thousands of them Died during the Great War . They didn't have to .

But here's another one one for you Northern Ireland is Part of the United Kingdom.

Total non point. Wales is part of the united kingdom. Shall we blast out the welsh national anthem at the next game?

The internet is full of apologists and handwringers, I never hear them telling anyone to stop singing when they are at the match though, with their politically correct views they are secretly trawling the internet and tv and newspapers looking for something to be offended by, nothing to do but sit and be little bitches trying to inflict their stinking socialist views upon the majority, they live in a virtual world of virtual offence just waiting to pounce on anything that does not fit in with their ideology, their offence offends me. :uk:

I must be the only socialist conservative voter in the country then...

If it was the majority, as you claim, then why isn't Ibrox ever rocking to Daddys uniform or No. 1 platoon?

Why don't we sing about any other division or regiment who made the ultimate sacrifice in either World War?

We do Dambusters 633 Sqn RAF.

Touche. Still other, more relevant regiments/divisions that could be honoured in song. Yet somehow its the UVF thats the one chosen. You'd almost think it was more do to with the fact the fought the ira than anything to do with the somme
