Jig back to centre forward

I think that away from home we could do with playing big Jig up front again. We have struggled to hold the ball up and allow the midfield to create in the right areas and there is no doubt that Jig would do this better than Sandazza, Shiels or Little!

At home it wont be so important but we have really struggled away from home mainly because we cant get the ball to stick up front.

Little is looking like a frustrating player, he has the effort and attitude and although he has banged in a few goals already it looks to me like he lacks the quality to lead the line as he doesn't have the ability or awareness to bring others into the game.

Sandazza is a bit out of sorts at the mo but maybe a partnership with Jig would get him going?

Shiels - early days and we can see he has the ability but has looked a bit of a shitebag so far and definitely needs to play with a big guy who will take the hits.

We clearly need someone creative in midfield and that can take a pass from defence with his back to goal, hopefully Ally has someone in mind and we can maybe get back to actually passing a ball instead of pumping it 40 yds forward constantly!

Finally - When do we get to play at an away ground where they cut and water the bloody grass before we play them??? Undoubtedly the main tactic teams are using against us!

Little and Jig should be our front 2, no ifs no buts. If anyone wants to break them up then they have to get themselves fit and prove to the manager they deserve a chance. Sandaza walking right into our team and both Jig and Andy being taken away from the front two really annoyed me. I think it was a very poor decision tbh.

Berwick seemed to pass the ball very well on the same park as us with that long grass. Midfield is a huge problem area. We need 2 wingers and a partner for Ian Black.

Matters not who plays up top as that seems to be the case no matter what...

Until Sandaza and Kyle are fit then Jig and Little should be the starting forwards.

Fitba should be played on the ground, the ba' isn't the space shuttle.

In our 2 away league games we have played a 2 man central midfield and have struggled to retain possession. If Jig is to continue in midfield then it must be alongside Black and MacLeod. If not then he's a better option up front.

Jig is a better option up front than he is in midfield.

As much as I love the guy and his commitment he is far to slow and immobile to be effective in the middle of the park. He slows us down to much in the transition phase. And he doesn't have a good enough awareness to come and take the ball short from the defence to build the play culminating in the long ball scenario we all want rid of.

His link up and hold up play as a forward is actually quite good and if you had a pacy forward in about him with good width if would work well.

Why bother with a midfield if the ba' is getting launched Cape Canaveral style.

Why do we need to sacrifice another player, most likely a forward just because the manager wants to play Lee in midfield? That is wrong in so many ways. There should be no place for sentiment and no man is greater than this club. Play him up front or on the subs bench. It is not hard. (tu)

To be honest I wouldn't have jig in the starting 11 upfront or in midfield , I would go for little and Naismith or Sandaza if he improves .

It's time for the young guys to get there chance . If Naismith has the ability that some say then he and little could form a brilliant partnership for the next few years .

We tried that with McKay and MacLeod and quite frankly, they have not yet took that chance. I have saw nothing from Naismith which tells me he deserves a chance starting. There is only one choice for our strike force and that is the two players who done so well for us at the end of last season.

I will admit though, i have heard the lad Naismith can play too but i don't think Lee or Andy deserved to be dropped from the front two. (tu)

Lee has been a fantastic stalwart to the team and I can see why McCoist want's to include him. Unfortunately, McCoist needs to leave friendship aside and pick the best TEAM not the best players. I've never subscribed to the view that the best team is the best 11 players.

Our team at the moment needs to be

Alexander

Argyriou Cribari Perry Wallace

McKay Black Macleod Shiels

Little Jig

When McKay tires, Little can drop back to RM and Sandaza/Naismith can come on. Kyle can deputy Jig as target man.

Why would he tire against part time postmen and plumbers, he is a full time pro isn't he.

He's also a young lad at (just turned 17 I believe, can't even drive yet) and while 'tire' might not be the best word, it's a euphemism for disappear from the game :craphead: Inconsistent at that level and should be subbed out later in the game.

I would rather see jig at centre half in middle of the park he's to slow up front to predictable play him at centre half keeps him out the way because he's going to play anyway

Here have a comma or two ,,, Feel free to use them.

Anyway, Jig may be 'predictable' up front but he's damn good at it. His knockdown for Little's goal at the weekend is his bread and butter and he has a thunderbolt of a shot outside the area too.
